It listens for multiple market conditions, counts **confluence**, runs your **entry filters**, sizes the order, manages **TP/SL and trailing**, applies **risk/session rules**, and (optionally) emits **automation‑ready alerts**. The same logic you backtest is the logic you can route to execution — transparent, modular, and consistent. ![](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F2670427150-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252F-M_7L9oSN_kD-GgM2Hhg%252Fuploads%252FbMZzkcCHv20Cq9ZsFyiD%252Foutput-onlinepngtools%2520%2858%29.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3Dfa5579f8-3daf-4a95-8a97-d5da4b70a319&width=768&dpr=3&quality=100&sign=7a90611e&sv=2) #### [hashtag](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/algopro-evox#why-evox-is-powerful-especially-for-futures-and-prop-firm-trading) Why EvoX is powerful (especially for **Futures** & **Prop‑Firm** trading) * **Futures‑native precision** — tick‑based **TP/SL**, tick‑spaced **DCA**, contracts‑based sizing, and session‑aware flattening fit how index, energy, and rates futures actually trade. * **Prop‑firm rule alignment** — built‑in **Daily Drawdown Limit**, **Daily Profit Target**, **Max Consecutive Losses**, **Win Halt**, **Time Filters**, and **Close All Trades at End of Session** help you stay inside evaluation rules and protect funded accounts — automatically. * **Noise reduction via confluence** — you choose which signals count and how many must agree (**Signal Confluence**) within a bar window. This curbs single‑indicator false starts and adapts to different styles (breakout, trend, mean reversion). * **Gatekeeping when it matters** — **Trend**, **Session VWAP**, **Volume**, **Range Breakout**, **MA**, and **RSI** filters ensure entries only happen in your preferred context. * **Automation‑ready by design** — alerts use `{{strategy.order.alert_message}}` so your webhook receives consistent **Open/Close** payloads (with live quantity), whether you use preset JSON or your own message format. * **Volatility‑aware controls** — **Enable Session Size Adjustment** can cut size or halt trading after outsized moves; **Trailing TP** and **Enable Trailing SL** adapt exits to changing pace. * **Consistency across markets/timeframes** — one ruleset, many instruments. Futures benefit from the strict timing tools and tick logic; the framework remains consistent for indices, metals, energies, and micros. * **Transparent & testable** — Strategy Tester shows exactly how rules behave. No black boxes; every control is visible in the Inputs panel and documented here. * **Discipline support** — tools like **Win Halt** and **Wait X Candles Before Another Trade** rein in over‑trading; **Close on Opposite Signal** helps cut bias when conditions flip. > **In one sentence:** EvoX gives you institutional‑style **consistency, control, and risk discipline** — the combination prop firms value most — while staying flexible enough to match your futures playbook. _EvoX is a research and automation tool. Nothing here is financial advice; markets involve risk._ * * * ### [hashtag](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/algopro-evox#id-1-how-evox-operates) 1) How EvoX Operates 1. **Signal modules** generate long/short readiness (e.g., Divergence, Liquidity Grab, Squeeze Momentum). 2. **Confluence** counts how many enabled modules agree **within your “Wait X Candles for Confluence” window**. If the count meets **“Signal Confluence”** and the side is enabled, the setup qualifies. 3. **Signal Filters** must pass (MA/VWAP/Trend/Volume/Breakout/RSI). 4. **Entry & Sizing** uses your **“ORDER SIZE MANAGER”** settings. 5. **Position Management** uses **“TP/SL MANAGER”** (fixed and trailing logic) and optional DCA/Martingale. 6. **Risk & Session** rules can flatten/halt per **“RISK MANAGER”** and **“SESSION MANAGER”**. 7. **Alerts** send JSON/text via **“TRADE AUTOMATION COMMANDS”.** * * * ### [hashtag](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/algopro-evox#id-2-trade-automation-commands) 2) TRADE AUTOMATION COMMANDS ![](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F2670427150-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252F-M_7L9oSN_kD-GgM2Hhg%252Fuploads%252FCFMped9IuQMAobNDQDlC%252FScreenshot%25202025-08-13%2520140637.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3D577dc04c-c1a2-4f35-b334-7f3f44c77572&width=768&dpr=3&quality=100&sign=7b49987b&sv=2) **Purpose:** Decide what message gets sent when EvoX opens/closes a trade. * **Use Preset JSON Alerts** — Default JSON alerts are set for TradersPost to Tradovate. If ON, EvoX sends built‑in JSON for entries/exits: • **Open Long** → `{ "ticker": "{{ticker}}", "action": "buy", "quantity": "{{strategy.order.contracts}}" }` • **Open Short** → `{ "ticker": "{{ticker}}", "action": "sell", "quantity": "{{strategy.order.contracts}}" }` • **Close Long / Close Short** → `{ "ticker": "{{ticker}}", "action": "exit" }` * **Open Long Command / Open Short Command / Close Long Command / Close Short Command** — custom text you want sent instead of the presets. * **How to deliver the message:** In your TradingView alert, set **Message** to `{{strategy.order.alert_message}}`. EvoX fills this with either the Preset JSON or your custom command for the event that fired. **Events:** Open Long, Open Short, Close Long (flatten long), Close Short (flatten short). Quantity reflects the live **strategy order contracts** at the moment of trigger. * * * ### [hashtag](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/algopro-evox#id-3-order-size-manager) 3) ORDER SIZE MANAGER ![](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F2670427150-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252F-M_7L9oSN_kD-GgM2Hhg%252Fuploads%252F0bMEALaSyb9T8dci2PU1%252FScreenshot%25202025-08-13%2520140717.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3Dee259ec1-25e6-4e24-aa7e-3901f58b1b1a&width=768&dpr=3&quality=100&sign=b844255f&sv=2) **Purpose:** Control how many contracts/shares the strategy orders. * **Order Size Mode** — choose **Equity**, **Contracts**, or **USD**. * **Equity % of Account** — used when **Equity** is selected. * **Base Contracts** — fixed count when **Contracts** is selected. * **USD Size** — fixed notional when **USD** is selected. _Notes:_ Size mode applies to initial entries and DCA adds (within your DCA rules and caps). The strategy injects the matching message when that event occurs. * For entries, the script calls `strategy.entry(..., alert_message = Open Cmd)`; for exits and TP tiers it uses `strategy.exit(..., alert_profit = TP Cmd, alert_loss = Close Cmd)` and full‑close events use your 100% close commands. * * * ### [hashtag](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/algopro-quantflow#long-short-signal-setup) LONG / SHORT SIGNAL SETUP Choose which confirmations must agree for a Long/Short. **Filters you can toggle** (L and S have mirrors): * **Range Breakout (ʟ / 🇸)** * _Sense (ʟ / 🇸)_ — sensitivity of the range filter (higher = stricter). * Internals: adaptive EMA‑based range with up/down state. * **Price Breakout (ʟ / 🇸)** * _Sens¹ (ʟ / 🇸)_ — lookback for highest/lowest breakout. * Logic: close > prior highest (long) or close < prior lowest (short). * **Volume Breakout (ʟ / 🇸)** * _Sens² (ʟ / 🇸)_ — lookback for peak volume; demand spike confirmation. * **Trend Breakout (ʟ / 🇸)** * _Sens³ (ʟ / 🇸)_ — SMA lookback; price above/below trend. * **Daily MA Bias (ʟ / 🇸)** * _MA (ʟ / 🇸)_ — EMA length computed on **1D**, then smoothed. Longs require price above the smoothed daily EMA; shorts require below. > **Tip:** Start with _Range + Trend + Daily MA Bias_ for structure; add _Price_ and/or _Volume_ to catch momentum bursts. * * * ### [hashtag](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/algopro-quantflow#trade-setup) TRADE SETUP * **Long Trades / Short Trades** — master side toggles. * **Close Trades on Opposite Signal** — if the opposite side qualifies, flat the current position. * **Close Early # Bars** — force‑exit after N bars in a trade. * **Break Even # Bars** — if price stays favorable for N bars, move SL to entry. * **Cool Down # Bars** — minimum bars to wait after an entry before any new one. * **Show Take Profit / Stop Loss** — draw entries/TP/SL on the chart. * * * ### [hashtag](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/algopro-quantflow#swing-trading-mode-and-exit-management) SWING TRADING MODE (and Exit Management) Toggle to manage positions with **dynamic trails** instead of fixed TP tiers. * **Swing Trail Method:** _ATR Trail_ / _Volume Trail_ / _MA Trail_ / _HL Trail_ / _Percent Trail_ * **ATR Trail (ʟ / 🇸)** — ATR multipliers for swing SL. * **Percent Trail (ʟ / 🇸)** — initial % and **P¹** trail speed. * **MA Trail (ʟ / 🇸)** — choose the MA type and length. * **High/Low Trail (ʟ / 🇸)** — lookback & source for structural trailing. * **Vol. Trail (ʟ / 🇸)** — VIDYA‑based dynamic bands with momentum and band distance controls. * **Swing TP (ʟ / 🇸)** — ATR‑derived _management levels_ used to trigger: * **BE¹ … BE⁵** — move SL to **Break Even** at the matching Swing TP. * **After¹ … After⁵** — _exit_ after hitting a higher Swing TP (closes at the prior level). > Swing TP markers are there to drive **BE/After** behavior; they are **not** partial‑close orders by themselves. * * * ### [hashtag](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/algopro-quantflow#take-profit-method) TAKE PROFIT METHOD Pick how TP levels are placed (when **not** in Swing Mode). [hashtag](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/algopro-v1.5#purpose-behind-v1.5) Purpose behind V1.5 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As the majority of AlgoPro tools are complex in their nature, we wanted to create something so simple and easy to use that even a brand new trader or investor would have no issue understanding it. V1.5 was crafted with simplicity and accessibility at its core, making it an ideal tool for even the most inexperienced market participants. With a revolutionary auto-optimization engine, users don’t need to manually test and tweak settings; the tool does it for them, continuously finding the best configurations for maximum profitability. This hands-off approach means traders can focus on their strategy and learn market behavior without being bogged down by the technical aspects of parameter adjustment. New users can quickly grasp the tool's functions while benefiting from advanced, professional-grade features in the background. By combining this ease of use with automated optimization, AlgoPro V1.5 empowers traders to make smart, informed decisions without needing extensive experience or constant fine-tuning. ![](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F2670427150-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252F-M_7L9oSN_kD-GgM2Hhg%252Fuploads%252FAYVHlfK5mZCCNZReGErw%252FBTCUSDT.P_2024-11-11_19-33-15.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3D819c0342-c81d-4c60-b1d6-52014ab55e24&width=768&dpr=3&quality=100&sign=61c1c786&sv=2) [hashtag](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/algopro-v1.5#ai-auto-optimization) AI Auto Optimization ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AlgoPro V1.5 integrates advanced AI machine learning with its auto-optimization feature find what settings have the most profit gained. Once the most profitable settings are found, you can see the exact net profit gained % for those settings in the dashboard. This intelligent functionality analyzes a vast array of settings and configurations, leveraging machine learning algorithms to predict and refine the most profitable parameters. By studying patterns in market behavior, the AI continuously adapts critical inputs to align with prevailing conditions. The machine learning element allows AlgoPro V1.5 to learn and evolve over time, ensuring traders benefit from the most effective, profit-focused settings dynamically suited to fluctuating market trends. As the V1.5 is added to the chart, it immediately starts its optimization process to find what settings have the highest net profit for that asset. Once it shows up to your chart, it automatically applies the most profitable settings and shows you the net profit percentage. The settings used can be seen on the dashboard next to "Optimized Settings". The AI will test in ranges of 3. So if your start range in the settings is set to 3, it will test from 3 to 6. You can change the start range in settings. ![](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F2670427150-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252F-M_7L9oSN_kD-GgM2Hhg%252Fuploads%252FRRXZcaQdVLt3zDpckPhn%252FScreenshot%25202024-11-11%2520193757.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3D24dcd6cf-2f39-4a1d-86ae-deb361c3f297&width=768&dpr=3&quality=100&sign=e095d519&sv=2) ![](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F2670427150-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252F-M_7L9oSN_kD-GgM2Hhg%252Fuploads%252Fek38w3pWZesvYFbO7xX3%252FScreenshot%25202024-11-11%2520193814.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3D98aa211d-61b7-4b2e-b59d-ce84f3bad163&width=768&dpr=3&quality=100&sign=35e06f9c&sv=2) [hashtag](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/algopro-v1.5#volume-trend-support-and-retests) Volume Trend Support and Retests ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We've included a dynamic support could to every signal to help navigate every trade. If more techincals are bullish than are bearish, the dashboard will likely show a "Buy" or "Strong Buy" as the current market sentiment as well as the percentage of the technicals that are giving you that information. If the techincals are split on whether an asset is a current buy or sell, the confirmation dashboard will likely show a neutral status. The backtesting panel will show the amount of trades performed, as well as the win percentage of how many trades reached a Take Profit Zone that is shown on your chart. Furthermore, you'll also see the individual win percentage for each take profit level. The backtesting date used can be adjusted in the settings panel at the bottom under 'Trade Dashboard'. [hashtag](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/algopro-v1.3#trend-and-signal-dashboard) Trend & Signal Dashboard ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The V1.3 also utilizes the same dashboard as the V1.2 - showing you the overall trend for multiple time frames at a glance. ![](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F2670427150-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252F-M_7L9oSN_kD-GgM2Hhg%252Fuploads%252FQGTC8G9isnVXvkP18ePr%252FScreenshot%25202023-12-11%2520125055.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3Dd98dbb08-d6a0-44d3-8160-b50ec04a323c&width=768&dpr=3&quality=100&sign=c0ea5b41&sv=2) [hashtag](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/algopro-v1.3#smart-money-concepts-and-visual-overlays) Smart Money Concepts and Visual Overlays ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The V1.3 also utilizes the addition of smart money concepts to help guide your trading. We've added various tools such as supply and demand zones, ranging/choppy price action zones, fair value gaps, and so on. This can help with your decision making when taking a trade for more confluence. Such as seeing a Buy signal activate the same moment price action is breaking through and above a range detected zone, or a Buy signal where price is bouncing off and above a demand zone. The same can go for finding times to exit a trade. If price is at a Take Profit level and then follows to create a range zone and breaks under that range, it may be a good idea to take full profit on that trade. These visual tools can be enabled and disabled in the settings panel. ![](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F2670427150-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252F-M_7L9oSN_kD-GgM2Hhg%252Fuploads%252FqeAg4ZcCtgUDn5DoH80k%252FSPY_2023-12-11_12-26-03.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3D8b93d41a-7868-4bb1-83b6-599ef3fb4019&width=768&dpr=3&quality=100&sign=4b077e1b&sv=2) [hashtag](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/algopro-v1.3#options-trading-mode) Options Trading Mode ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Another addition to the V1.3 is the new Options Trading Mode. By enabling this feature in the settings, this will help guide options traders with valuable info for options trade. Once enabled, you'll get info such as whether buy calls or puts, what strike price to aim for, the likelihood of price reaching the strike, and the average amount of bars it has taken for price to reach similar strike targets in the past. By knowing the average amount of bars, you can calculate the average amount of time to strike target. If you're trading on the 5 minute time frame and the average amount of bars to strike is 20 bars - then you'd simply do 5(timeframe)x20(bars) - which means strike target has usually been met in 100 minutes or roughly 1 hour and 45 minutes. ![](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F2670427150-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252F-M_7L9oSN_kD-GgM2Hhg%252Fuploads%252FUIsi6fSpje649GJOeE0d%252FSPY_2023-12-11_12-40-47.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3D11598f62-d4a9-4697-acab-a915bd445ef6&width=768&dpr=3&quality=100&sign=3db4835a&sv=2) ![](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F2670427150-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252F-M_7L9oSN_kD-GgM2Hhg%252Fuploads%252FggK30Pf7G4pc2I8Iblza%252FScreenshot%25202023-12-11%2520123521.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3Ddf4bfb0b-c3f8-47b8-9926-be15ec6c5b5a&width=768&dpr=3&quality=100&sign=a1004e98&sv=2) ![](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F2670427150-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252F-M_7L9oSN_kD-GgM2Hhg%252Fuploads%252FVLmDcnLiecrsEwJ8kNhR%252FScreenshot%25202023-12-11%2520123449.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3Dcbf25d2b-d6e5-4d9b-a7b6-f0d41b45acf1&width=768&dpr=3&quality=100&sign=c861e0ca&sv=2) [hashtag](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/algopro-v1.3#smart-ai-take-profit-and-stop-loss-zones) Smart AI Take Profit and Stop Loss Zones ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The V1.3 utilizes the same take profit and stop loss system with a few adjustments. If you wish to use your own strategy, you can use our bot optimizer to quickly create a winning strategy, as the parameters in the V1.4 bot are much less complex than our Scalper Bot and OptiBot. ![](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F2670427150-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252F-M_7L9oSN_kD-GgM2Hhg%252Fuploads%252F087YFZwusDOAe1PSOFaI%252Fimage%2520%283%29.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3D34ef88ce-0829-41e5-aa7c-88c9c01a4bf2&width=768&dpr=3&quality=100&sign=5750021e&sv=2) 1 Hour SPY Strategy [hashtag](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/algopro-v1.4-bot#base-mode-vs-bot-mode) Base Mode vs Bot Mode ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The V1.4 bot features two modes. The base mode is a mirror mode for the base indicator version of the AlgoPro V1.4. The purpose of the base mode is for you to be able to backtest settings for the indicator version of the V1.4. Base mode turns the V1.4 bot into the basic 1.4 indicator and disables all extra features that are included in the bot mode so you can backtest the original indicator accurately. The only difference between the indicator version of the V1.4 and the base mode is that the strategy version requires a candle to close above a take profit before it will trigger. The Bot Mode of the AlgoPro V1.4 is the full version that is suited for automation as well. This mode includes an extra take profit point, and includes extra trade signal filters to fine tune your strategy more than the base mode. All preset strategies included with the bot are only for bot mode. [hashtag](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/algopro-v1.4-bot#preset-trading-strategies) Preset Trading Strategies --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- One of the biggest issues for new traders or for beginners on TradingView is going about how to optimize your settings to find a winning strategy. We are solving this issue by including preset strategies within our bot for you to start on or use. Simply go to the settings panel and click the dropdown under preset settings to find a strategy for the asset you trade. We will constantly be improving current strategies and be adding new strategies for all kinds of assets across all markets. You can see the asset, timeframe, and exchange each strategy is for. To use the bot on futures/cme, you must change the property settings from equity to contracts. ![](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F2670427150-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252F-M_7L9oSN_kD-GgM2Hhg%252Fuploads%252F7gx5YWtRVejuzooKUfMn%252FScreenshot%25202024-07-19%2520121113.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3D63ad6e74-fb30-40c4-a7f9-79b6fadcdac6&width=768&dpr=3&quality=100&sign=58877e8d&sv=2) [hashtag](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/algopro-v1.4-bot#take-profit-stop-loss-system) Take Profit / Stop Loss System ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The V1.4 Bot includes the same take profit and stop loss system as the base version, however we have added an extra take profit marker for the bot mode and added the ability to trail your stop loss by activating it in the settings. You can also adjust the equity that each take profit closes within the settings panel. If the take profit percentage of take profit 4 is below 100%, you must be using a trailing stop loss or close on opposite signal to close the remaining equity of your trade. This will allow your trade to run longer to capture more of a trade. ![](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F2670427150-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252F-M_7L9oSN_kD-GgM2Hhg%252Fuploads%252FJD0RZ0Frirfx3kMSzuSb%252FScreenshot%25202024-07-19%2520123141.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3De56c41c7-d406-43c1-9605-692b269edef7&width=768&dpr=3&quality=100&sign=d61cf8c2&sv=2) ![](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F2670427150-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252F-M_7L9oSN_kD-GgM2Hhg%252Fuploads%252FtWJczZHIangV2d2D7osd%252FScreenshot%25202024-07-19%2520121421.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3D40df9a67-7185-4985-b029-3651455e3403&width=768&dpr=3&quality=100&sign=849682bb&sv=2) ![](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F2670427150-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252F-M_7L9oSN_kD-GgM2Hhg%252Fuploads%252FdDPKLrXt6MqX3EjBhOx0%252FScreenshot%25202024-07-19%2520122623.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3D1d3757b6-8d83-40d7-866d-456c450afed7&width=768&dpr=3&quality=100&sign=6ac2a9b8&sv=2) In a trade of $100, with these settings - TP1 would close $50 of the trade, TP2 would close $25 of the trade, and so on as each take 50% of the equity remaining. We have included a few different signal filters to help you accomplish this that are brand new to our systems. The goal for the V1.4 filter system was to be able to use as few parameters as possible to stay beginning friendly, while still keeping the algorithm as powerful as our others. Using simple price, volume, and trend - you are now able to filter out false signals on the V1.4 better than ever without getting confused. Each filter can be adjusted or enabled/disabled for both longs and shorts. ![](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F2670427150-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252F-M_7L9oSN_kD-GgM2Hhg%252Fuploads%252FCXNqteSdJ5osM0tTsLyc%252FScreenshot%25202024-07-19%2520121911.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3Da9c12c58-118a-4e85-8171-ec4294e6e149&width=768&dpr=3&quality=100&sign=400e2c3e&sv=2) [hashtag](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/algopro-v1.4-bot#active-settings-dashboard) Active Settings Dashboard --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The V1.4 includes an active settings dashboard on your chart that shows what settings are being used at all times. This is very helpful when using a preset strategy so you can see exactly what settings that preset strategy uses. As all preset strategies are liable to updates to improve them, we recommend to record the settings that preset strategy uses by getting the inputs from the dashboard, input them manually, and save the file if you wish to automate a preset strategy to avoid losing those current settings in the future. ![](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F2670427150-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252F-M_7L9oSN_kD-GgM2Hhg%252Fuploads%252Fh0z6f3KkdJZ3bXRVSFIM%252FScreenshot%25202024-07-19%2520121333.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3D5c4fb2dc-8d84-4907-80a6-950ec9ac7f72&width=768&dpr=3&quality=100&sign=35adac40&sv=2) [PreviousAlgoPro Support & Resistancechevron-left](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/algopro-support-and-resistance) [NextAlgoPro Market Matrixchevron-right](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/algopro-market-matrix) Last updated 1 year ago Was this helpful? * [Base Mode vs Bot Mode](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/algopro-v1.4-bot#base-mode-vs-bot-mode) * [Preset Trading Strategies](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/algopro-v1.4-bot#preset-trading-strategies) * [Take Profit / Stop Loss System](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/algopro-v1.4-bot#take-profit-stop-loss-system) * [Extra Trade Filters for Bot Mode](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/algopro-v1.4-bot#extra-trade-filters-for-bot-mode) * [Active Settings Dashboard](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/algopro-v1.4-bot#active-settings-dashboard) Was this helpful? --- # Fibonacci Reversal Zone | AlgoPro FAQ #### [hashtag](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/algopro-market-matrix/fibonacci-reversal-zone#reversal-zone-fibonacci-function) Reversal Zone Fibonacci Function The Reversal Zone Fibonacci function in our tool is designed to highlight areas on the chart where price is likely to reverse or continue its trend after a pullback. This feature is based on Fibonacci retracement levels, which are widely used by traders to identify key areas of support and resistance. ![](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F2670427150-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252F-M_7L9oSN_kD-GgM2Hhg%252Fuploads%252Fm1WIrWfZXnU28lnpBMFL%252FNVDA_2024-10-03_12-05-23.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3De0c78d1c-c49c-493a-88de-aa2659c1686a&width=768&dpr=3&quality=100&sign=e150515a&sv=2) **How It Works:** 1. **Automatic Detection of High and Low Points**: The tool automatically identifies significant high and low points on the chart. Depending on the user's preference, it can use either full candle wicks or just the candle bodies to anchor these points. 2. **Fibonacci Retracement Levels**: After identifying the high and low points, the tool calculates important Fibonacci retracement levels, such as 61.8% and 78.6%. These levels represent percentages of the price move between the high and low points. For instance, the 61.8% level shows where the price has retraced about 62% of the original move. 3. **Reversal Zone Box**: The tool draws a box between the 61.8% and 78.6% levels to create a clear visual marker called the "Reversal Zone." When the price enters this zone, it indicates a higher likelihood of a reversal or trend continuation. **Why These Fibonacci Levels Are Important:** Fibonacci levels are based on the Fibonacci sequence, which reflects natural patterns found in various areas of life, including financial markets. Traders have observed that markets tend to move in waves, with retracements often stalling or reversing at key Fibonacci levels. The 61.8% and 78.6% levels are especially important for the following reasons: * **61.8% (Golden Ratio)**: The 61.8% retracement level is often referred to as the "Golden Ratio." It is a critical point where many traders expect the price to reverse. This level tends to be a strong support or resistance area because of how often it aligns with key turning points in the market. * **78.6% Retracement**: The 78.6% level is another significant retracement level, typically marking a deeper pullback. If the price retraces this far without breaking through, it often signals a strong potential for reversal. However, if the price moves beyond this point, it could indicate a potential breakdown or continuation of the trend in the opposite direction. **Why It’s Important for Trading:** * **Key Reversal Points**: These Fibonacci levels are where the market often pauses or reverses, providing traders with potential entry or exit points. Trading near these levels allows for better risk management, as traders can place stop-loss orders just beyond the reversal zone. * **Predicting Market Behavior**: Because these levels have historically been areas of significant price action, they allow traders to anticipate where the price may stall or reverse. This insight can help traders time their trades more effectively. * **Trend Continuation or Reversal**: If the price respects the 61.8% or 78.6% level and bounces back, it often signals the continuation of the original trend. If the price breaks through these levels, it may suggest the trend has reversed, providing a clear signal for traders to act. By using the Reversal Zone, traders can leverage these key levels to anticipate potential market movements and improve their trade timing with more confidence. These levels are critical for understanding market dynamics and identifying high-probability trade setups. When the price is moving in one direction, but an indicator is moving in the opposite direction, this is called **divergence** and often signals that the current trend may be losing strength. The Divergence Detector automatically finds these divergences, helping you anticipate potential market turning points. ![](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F2670427150-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252F-M_7L9oSN_kD-GgM2Hhg%252Fuploads%252F1VBaLWJwc03jfGI3S3Xb%252FES1%21_2024-10-03_12-18-10.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3Daba89cd6-e51a-4b44-9958-39404efc18bb&width=768&dpr=3&quality=100&sign=b4885c24&sv=2) **How It Works** 1. **Types of Divergence:** * **Regular Divergence:** Occurs when the price makes a higher high (in an uptrend) or a lower low (in a downtrend), but the indicator moves in the opposite direction. This suggests that the current trend is weakening and a reversal could happen soon. * **Hidden Divergence:** Occurs when the price makes a higher low (in an uptrend) or a lower high (in a downtrend), but the indicator moves in the opposite direction. Hidden divergence often signals that the trend will continue. 2. **Indicator Options:** The tool checks for divergences using multiple indicators, including the **MACD**, **RSI**, **Stochastic**, **Momentum**, and others. 3. **Divergence Labels:** The tool adds text labels above or below the bars where divergences are detected, showing how many indicators triggered the signal. This provides you with additional clarity on the strength of the divergence. A 1 would mean 1 indicator has triggered a divergence, a 3 would mean 3 indicators have triggered a divergence, etc. 4. **Customization:** You can control the **lookback period** to check how far back the tool should search for divergences, adjust the **strength of divergence** required for a signal to show, and choose whether to display the divergence lines and labels on your chart. **Why It Matters** * **Spotting Reversals Early:** Divergence is one of the most reliable ways to catch trend reversals before they happen. By identifying when momentum is fading or increasing, you can better time your entries and exits. * **Confirming Trade Setups:** Divergence adds an extra layer of confirmation to your trading decisions. If your strategy indicates a buy or sell signal and a divergence appears at the same time, it adds confluence and increases the probability of a successful trade. * **Adapting to Market Conditions:** Whether you're trading trending or ranging markets, divergence helps you stay ahead of potential market shifts. Regular divergence often signals reversals, while hidden divergence helps you spot trend continuations. In summary, the Divergence Detector helps you visualize and understand key moments when price action and indicators are diverging, offering clear signals for potential reversals or trend continuations. It provides traders with an advanced method to anticipate changes in market direction, making it a valuable part of any trading strategy. This profile is built dynamically, meaning it updates based on the current visible range on your chart, ensuring you always have relevant data at your fingertips. ![](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F2670427150-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252F-M_7L9oSN_kD-GgM2Hhg%252Fuploads%252FERR0EYEvCJEfZ1lVpjGX%252FNVDA_2024-10-03_12-00-37.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3Dc8fdc2bd-2d38-434b-98f7-9f5edcee5d83&width=768&dpr=3&quality=100&sign=e1e4116&sv=2) **Key Functions:** 1. **Volume Data Source**: * Volume reflects the number of contracts traded. 2. **Volume Profile Visualization**: * The volume profile divides the price range into customizable "resolution" levels. It shows where the most trading activity occurred, with green areas representing buying volume and red areas indicating selling volume. 3. **Point of Control (POC)**: * The **POC** is the price level with the highest volume during the session. It often serves as a key support or resistance area. You can easily identify this level visually, as the tool highlights it with a clearly marked box on the chart. 4. **Dynamic Adjustments**: * The profile dynamically adjusts based on the visible chart range. This ensures that the data is always relevant to what you're analyzing at the moment, whether you're zoomed in or out. You can also fine-tune the width, offset, and resolution of the profile to suit your needs. 5. **Up/Down Volume & Delta**: * You can toggle between viewing **total volume**, **up/down volume** (which shows buy and sell volumes separately), or **delta** (the difference between buying and selling pressure). This allows for deeper insight into whether buyers or sellers are dominating at each level. **Why It Matters for Trading:** * **Key Levels Identification**: * The Dynamic Volume Profile helps you pinpoint **high-volume nodes**, which often become important support or resistance levels. Knowing these areas allows you to make more informed decisions about where to place entries, exits, or stop losses. * **Market Sentiment**: * Volume is the fuel that moves the market. By analyzing volume distributions, you get a clear picture of whether buyers or sellers are in control at key price points, helping you understand the underlying sentiment. * **Better Entries and Exits**: * The POC and other high-volume areas act like magnets. Price tends to gravitate towards these levels, or bounce off them, providing strong entry and exit signals. Incorporating the volume profile into your strategy ensures you're trading around critical areas of interest. * **Risk Management**: * By knowing where the bulk of trading occurred, you can place smarter stop losses. For example, placing your stop below a high-volume node gives you a stronger level of protection than simply relying on arbitrary price points. The **Dynamic Volume Profile** is a must-have tool for understanding where the market's true action is happening, helping you align your trades with the most active price levels. Whether you're a short-term scalper or a swing trader, this profile delivers the insights you need to trade with precision. This suggests that the breakout is false and often traps traders who expected the price to continue in that direction. Identifying these patterns helps traders find potential reversal points and avoid false breakouts. ![](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F2670427150-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252F-M_7L9oSN_kD-GgM2Hhg%252Fuploads%252FaGd5IBOEYl87vjlJpXIg%252FScreenshot%25202024-10-03%2520115728.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3D02bd8cba-22a0-4a66-9372-a3041e39af3f&width=768&dpr=3&quality=100&sign=5a8cce39&sv=2) **How It Works** 1. **Swing Highs and Lows:** The tool identifies significant **swing highs** and **swing lows** over a set period (the **Swing Period**). A swing high is the highest point in a price movement before the price drops, while a swing low is the lowest point before the price rises. 2. **Bearish and Bullish SFPs:** * **Bearish SFP:** Occurs when the price breaks above a previous swing high but then closes below it. This indicates that sellers have regained control, and a potential downward reversal is likely. * **Bullish SFP:** Occurs when the price breaks below a previous swing low but then closes back above it, signaling that buyers have taken control, and a potential upward reversal is expected. 3. **Volume Validation (Optional):** The tool can validate SFPs based on volume data. You can set a **Volume Threshold** to ensure that only patterns where a certain percentage of total volume occurs outside the swing point are considered valid. This feature helps confirm whether the breakout was truly false or not, filtering out weaker signals. 4. **Visual Representation:** Once the tool detects an SFP, it plots: * **Swing Lines** that show the original swing high or low level. * **Confirmation Lines** that highlight the opposite price action after the swing is broken. * **Wick Lines** showing the wick (the price spike) outside the swing, where the price temporarily broke out. * **SFP Labels** to visually mark these key points on your chart for easy identification. **Why It Matters** * **Avoid False Breakouts:** SFPs help traders avoid getting trapped by false breakouts. When price briefly breaks a key level (like a swing high or low) and then reverses, it often catches traders off guard. Recognizing an SFP early can help you avoid entering the wrong side of the market. * **Spot Reversal Points:** SFPs are often followed by significant price reversals. A bearish SFP suggests a potential downtrend reversal, while a bullish SFP indicates an upcoming upward reversal. This allows you to enter trades in the direction of the reversal with a higher probability of success. * **Strategic Entry and Exit Points:** By using SFPs, you can identify areas where large traders might be entering or exiting the market, allowing you to time your trades more effectively and set stop losses at key levels for better risk management. In summary, the Swing Failure Pattern helps you detect false breakouts and identify potential reversal points, offering a clearer picture of when the market might be about to change direction. This makes it an essential tool for avoiding traps and improving your trade timing. This action is typically orchestrated by larger traders or institutions to "grab" liquidity (the stop-loss orders), after which the market often reverses direction. The **Liquidity Grab Detector** helps traders spot these moments, providing valuable insight into when the market is likely to change direction. ![](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F2670427150-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252F-M_7L9oSN_kD-GgM2Hhg%252Fuploads%252Fzv1v7YeoGhfRcXeKVkiF%252FES1%21_2024-10-03_12-16-58.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3D8f1c383b-beff-41b2-aee5-ab804a1e42d8&width=768&dpr=3&quality=100&sign=b54a99ce&sv=2) **How It Works** 1. **Liquidity Zones:** The tool identifies potential liquidity zones by detecting key levels where traders are likely to have placed their stop-losses—usually around **pivot highs** and **pivot lows**. These zones act as magnets for price movement, and when price reaches them, it triggers liquidity grabs. 2. **Bearish and Bullish Liquidity Grabs:** * **Bearish Liquidity Grab:** When the price rises above a previous high (a swing high), triggers stop-losses of traders who are short, and then reverses direction. This is often a sign that the market will move downward. * **Bullish Liquidity Grab:** When the price drops below a previous low (a swing low), triggers stop-losses of traders who are long, and then reverses upward, indicating a potential move higher. 3. **Confirmation via Volume:** The tool allows you to validate liquidity grabs using volume data. If a liquidity grab happens with a certain threshold of volume outside the swing point (either higher or lower than expected), the tool flags it as a valid signal, adding more weight to the potential reversal. 4. **Visual Signals:** The tool plots: * **Circles** on the chart to show where liquidity grabs have occurred, with "LG" labels for easy identification. * **Bearish Liquidity Grabs** are shown above the bars in red, while **Bullish Liquidity Grabs** are shown below the bars in green. * You can also set alerts to be notified when a liquidity grab occurs. 5. **Entry Confirmation:** After the liquidity grab is detected, the tool waits for confirmation that the market is indeed reversing. For example, in a bullish grab, the price needs to rise above the liquidity zone, and in a bearish grab, it needs to drop below the zone before the tool signals a potential trade entry. **Why It Matters** * **Identify Reversal Points:** Liquidity grabs often mark the end of a trend and the start of a new one. Spotting these points allows traders to enter the market just as it begins to reverse, offering high-probability trade setups. * **Avoid False Breakouts:** Liquidity grabs are often mistaken for breakouts. The market pushes above or below a key level only to reverse shortly after. By recognizing these patterns, traders can avoid getting trapped in false breakouts. * **Institutional Insight:** Liquidity grabs are often driven by larger institutional players looking to capitalize on retail traders' stop-losses. The tool helps you trade alongside these big players by identifying when they are likely to move the market. In summary, the **Liquidity Grab Detector** helps you understand when the market is grabbing liquidity from stop-loss orders before reversing direction, offering key insights into potential trend changes and improving your entry and exit points. Turning smart money methods into a real time trading system, you'll get real time entries from key breaks of character or market structure. These breaks of character and market structure are also tracked with volume at the time those areas are detected. You will see labels of "Medium Volume" or "Strong Volume". For the areas of "Strong Volume" there is a higher chance that entry will be successful in reaching the take profit target of that entry if that zone is broken. Once a break of character or market structure is detected and an entry is triggered, you'll see your take profit and stop loss for that specific trade. The take profit and stop loss is also a dynamic zone, each trade will have a different tp and sl depending on the average true range and volume when an entry is detected. You can customize your risk/reward for your target in the settings of the tool. ![](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F2670427150-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252F-M_7L9oSN_kD-GgM2Hhg%252Fuploads%252FRSGniEew7Es0iwh1fWsf%252FScreenshot%25202024-03-15%2520131112.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3Df8061e7d-44de-410b-bebe-0b4f6d9bc277&width=768&dpr=3&quality=100&sign=e7b7b535&sv=2) **AlgoPro Smart Money Concepts Volume Profile** Also included in this toolkit is our live volume profile. [hashtag](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/algopro-quantx#what-is-quantx) What is QuantX --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- QuantX is a powerful trading tool designed to revolutionize how traders approach the market by leveraging a confluence of signals for precision entries. Unlike traditional systems that rely on singular trend following indicators, QuantX waits for multiple favorable conditions and trading concepts to align before triggering trades, ensuring higher confidence in each trade. By combining pure market dynamic functions from our Market Matrix plus QuantX concepts, it offers the flexibility to enter at optimal points — buying low and selling high — avoiding chasing trends or entering trades in the middle or premiums of trends, allowing traders to achieve excellent risk-to-reward ratios. Remember that it is always better risk management to be burnt buying the lows and selling the highs, than it is getting caught buying or selling at premium prices with a limited reward in comparison to your greater risk. The tool's unique ability to adapt to market conditions by waiting for optimal discount entry points makes it highly effective in reducing risk and maximizing profit potential. With QuantX, traders can navigate markets with a higher degree of accuracy and control. ![](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F2670427150-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252F-M_7L9oSN_kD-GgM2Hhg%252Fuploads%252FwvfkJrikCgmWUJ2tMnwn%252FNQ1%21_2024-10-11_15-43-35.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3D0fe3f3a0-3dbb-429f-a49f-8b05407c2f02&width=768&dpr=3&quality=100&sign=6eab4bef&sv=2) [hashtag](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/algopro-quantx#the-methodology-of-quantx-risk-vs-reward) The Methodology of QuantX - Risk vs Reward --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The revolutionary aspect of AlgoPro QuantX lies in its ability to filter out noise and false signals by requiring a confluence of multiple indicators before making a trade. This enhances precision, ensuring that trades are only triggered when multiple favorable conditions align, which significantly increases the likelihood of success. Furthermore, giving traders the flexibility to wait for a breakout before entering a position adds an extra layer of control, allowing them to adapt to market conditions rather than relying solely on preset criteria. This approach minimizes the risk of prematurely entering trades based on a single, potentially unreliable signal, and empowers traders with the option to time their entries based on market momentum. By combining multiple confirmations with breakout timing, the tool provides a much more strategic and adaptive trading experience, setting it apart from traditional trend following systems. Entering trades at optimal times, such as buying low and selling high, allows for extremely favorable risk-to-reward ratios because it capitalizes on price movements that are already in your favor. When you enter at a low point in an uptrend (or high point in a downtrend for shorts), you're positioned early in the market move, giving your trade room to develop without having to risk a large portion of capital. This way, your stop loss can be placed relatively close to your entry, minimizing potential losses while allowing for significant gains if the trend continues. In relation to most signals, which might trigger at less ideal moments—such as in the middle of a move or near market tops and bottoms—your strategy of entering at optimal points creates a larger "profit cushion." You're not chasing the price or reacting late; instead, you're anticipating the move when the conditions are right. This method of precision entry ensures that even small movements in your favor can yield considerable profits, with relatively low risk. In essence, the tighter risk management and larger potential rewards lead to a risk-to-reward ratio that is often significantly better than most typical signal-based strategies. [hashtag](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/algopro-quantx#controlling-signals-in-quantx) Controlling Signals in QuantX --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In QuantX, you have extensive control over how signals are generated and when trades are entered. You can set the number of confluence signals needed for both long and short entries, ensuring that trades are only triggered when enough favorable conditions are met. You also have the flexibility to define how long the algorithm will wait for these signals to align, giving you more control over timing. For breakout or breakdown entries, you can enable or disable the requirement to wait for a trend breakout. The sensitivity of this breakout can be adjusted, allowing you to fine-tune how strong a breakout must be before entering a trade. Additionally, you can control how long the algo will wait for a breakout to occur as well. Finally, after a trade is closed, you can manage how long QuantX waits before considering another trade with the cooldown setting, helping you avoid overtrading and giving the market time to reset. This high level of control ensures that QuantX operates according to your specific strategy preferences. ![](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F2670427150-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252F-M_7L9oSN_kD-GgM2Hhg%252Fuploads%252FfA9kqGiFczNepurklqi8%252Fimage.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3D93d1d52e-013d-4924-9415-9c958b3bde89&width=768&dpr=3&quality=100&sign=fc51d02b&sv=2) [hashtag](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/algopro-quantx#quantx-take-profit-stop-loss-system) QuantX Take Profit / Stop Loss System ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In QuantX, you can customize your take profit and stop loss settings to fit your risk management strategy. QuantX has three different styles of stop loss to choose from - Fixed Dollar Amount, Fixed Percentage, and Dynamic ATR. Each style ensures you're able to find the trading setup you desire for your trade. The Fixed Dollar & Percentage Stop Loss inputs allow you to set a fixed stop loss amount in dollars or percentage, ensuring that your risk is predefined for every trade. The ATR Stop Loss provides you the ability to let your stop loss and take profit adapt to the volatility of the asset - ATR also has a percentage input that places a cap on how high the ATR stop loss can be as a percentage of the entry price. This prevents setting an overly large stop loss during times of high volatility when using ATR. For example, when you're using ATR, with an ATR % Cap of 1% - no matter how volatile the asset is, the stop loss can never be larger than 1%. Additionally, with the Risk Reward Ratio input, you can set your desired risk-to-reward ratio for your take profit. For example, if your stop loss is set to $5 and your risk-reward ratio is 2, your take profit would automatically be set at $10, giving you a clear and consistent profit target. This setup helps maintain a disciplined approach to risk management while ensuring transparency in your trading decisions. ![](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F2670427150-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252F-M_7L9oSN_kD-GgM2Hhg%252Fuploads%252FxDQT7mdAMmMNJh54Rh4i%252FScreenshot%25202024-10-11%2520151305.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3D0e8a9ef2-b30e-40af-8a5e-f378c1a295f2&width=768&dpr=3&quality=100&sign=8d01aae&sv=2) ![](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F2670427150-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252F-M_7L9oSN_kD-GgM2Hhg%252Fuploads%252FmtpzWUPUNnEIkxPmrgGB%252FScreenshot%25202024-10-14%2520145952.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3De15a3e43-14c7-429f-bc06-2111181c5cf5&width=768&dpr=3&quality=100&sign=98a71855&sv=2) [hashtag](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/algopro-quantx#quantx-session-and-time-filters) QuantX Session & Time Filters ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In QuantX, you have control over when trades are automatically closed and when trading is allowed during specific hours. [hashtag](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/algopro-quantx#quantx-backtesting-dashboard) QuantX Backtesting Dashboard ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The performance dashboard in QuantX provides a comprehensive overview of how the strategy is performing across several key metrics. It tracks your initial and current equity, displaying a clear multiplier that shows how much your equity has grown or shrunk. It also keeps a count of all trades, wins, and calculates the win rate, helping you assess the effectiveness of your strategy. Additionally, the dashboard breaks down average performance per trade, win, and loss in percentage terms, giving you insights into how well your strategy performs on both winning and losing trades. QuantX also tracks the maximum drawdown in equity and trades, as well as the average monthly and annual returns. The dashboard calculates the risk/reward ratio and determines the win rate required for profitability. It then compares your current win rate to the required rate, calculating a win rate differential. The more positive the differential, the more profitable the strategy is. Based on this differential, the strategy is assigned a grade, providing a quick visual measure of performance, with grades ranging from A to F. Identifying these zones can help you understand where large traders are likely to enter or exit the market, giving you an edge in your own trading decisions. ![](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F2670427150-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252F-M_7L9oSN_kD-GgM2Hhg%252Fuploads%252FE9hRK7Vua5BFeKZJs7Y8%252FNVDA_2024-10-03_12-14-19.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3Df79a8e6a-26c2-4940-baff-e85e45f87a78&width=768&dpr=3&quality=100&sign=143ef55a&sv=2) **How It Works** 1. **Swing Highs and Lows:** The tool identifies liquidity zones based on **swing highs** and **swing lows**. These are key turning points in the market where the price has reversed direction, indicating that large orders were likely filled. 2. **Volume and Open Interest (OI):** Liquidity zones are strengthened when there's high volume or changes in **Open Interest (OI)**—a measure of market participation. The tool calculates volume and OI data from multiple exchanges, ensuring these zones are highly relevant. Each liquidity zone is labeled with the **volume** amount at that swing point, helping you easily see how much market activity occurred there. 3. **Adaptive Zone Display:** The tool plots these zones as boxes on your chart, with different colors for buy and sell zones. You can adjust the width of the boxes, and they will extend until the price fills the zone, allowing you to track areas of potential price reaction as the market evolves. **Why It Matters** * **Spotting Key Levels:** Liquidity zones highlight where large players are likely buying or selling, which can result in price bounces or breakouts. Knowing where these zones are helps you predict future market moves. * **Plan Trade Entries and Exits:** By understanding where liquidity exists, you can time your trades more effectively. Entering a trade above a buy zone may allow you to benefit from a price bounce, while exiting near a sell zone can help you avoid getting caught in a reversal. * **Volume and Open Interest Confirmation:** Liquidity zones with high volume or significant changes in Open Interest are more reliable, as they signal increased market activity. The volume amount is displayed directly in each zone, making it easy to gauge the strength of that area and confirm whether it’s likely to hold or break. In summary, the liquidity zone function in this tool not only tracks critical areas of interest based on market activity but also gives you direct insight into how much volume occurred there, helping you better understand and navigate high-probability zones in the market. It compiles multiple signals into an easy-to-read format, helping you decide whether the market is favoring long trades (buy), short trades (sell), or is in a neutral state. Below is an explanation of how the dashboard works and how you can use it in your trading strategy. **1\. Trade Bias & RSI Status** The first two rows of the dashboard show you the **High-Timeframe (HTF)** and **Low-Timeframe (LTF) Trade Bias**. These biases are calculated based on moving averages: * **Long** (green) indicates the price is above the moving average, suggesting that price is much more likely to continue higher and we should look for pullbacks to get in long. * **Short** (red) indicates the price is below the moving average, suggesting that price is much more likely to continue lower and we should look for spikes in price to get in short. Additionally, you will see the current **RSI (Relative Strength Index)** value: * If RSI is above 70, the market is considered **Overbought** (red), signaling a potential selling opportunity. * If RSI is below 30, the market is **Oversold** (green), indicating a possible buying opportunity. * If RSI is between 30 and 70, the market is **Neutral** (gray). **2\. Confluence Signals** The core of the dashboard is the **Confluence Signals** section. This part of the tool checks a variety of conditions to help you decide whether the market is at a good area for trades. Each row checks if a specific condition was met within the last 5 bars and gives you one of three signals: * **"Long"** (green) – Conditions favor a potential buy opportunity. * **"Short"** (red) – Conditions favor a potential sell opportunity. * **"Neutral"** (gray) – No clear signal for either direction. **Here are the main conditions the dashboard checks:** * **Divergence:** Identifies if the price is diverging from 10 different technical tools, which often signals potential reversals. * **Fair Value Gap (FVG):** Checks for price imbalances in the market. These are often zones where price might reverse or find resistance/support. * **VWAP Deviation:** Looks at how far the price is from the Volume Weighted Average Price (VWAP), which helps identify if the price is extended and due for a pullback. * **Volume Exhaustion:** Detects if there’s exhaustion in volume, which can indicate the end of a trend or a reversal. * **Williams %R:** Measures market momentum, helping to identify overbought or oversold conditions, signaling potential reversal points. * **Swing Failure Pattern (SFP):** A pattern where the price briefly moves above/below a key level before reversing, signaling market traps. * **Stochastic Signal:** Monitors overbought or oversold conditions using the stochastic oscillator, helping identify potential market tops and bottoms. * **Liquidity Grabs (LG):** Detects areas where liquidity is swept (price breaks key levels and reverses), often leading to sharp reversals. * **Price Exhaustion:** Identifies exhaustion candles, signaling that a trend may be ending and a reversal could occur. * **Fear & Greed Zones:** Tracks emotional extremes in the market (fear or greed), which can indicate possible reversals. * **Mean Reversion:** Uses a blend of range and price analysis to measure volatility and detect when price may revert to its mean. * **KDE RSI:** Combines Kernel Density Estimation with RSI levels to highlight potentials market reversals. * **Dying Momentum:** Identifies when market momentum is weakening, signaling potential trend reversals. **3\. Visual Alerts** In addition to the table, the script plots **circles** on the chart to visually highlight when conditions trigger together: * **Green circles** indicate a set number of long confluence options have triggered together. * **Red circles** indicate a set number of short confluence options have triggered together ![](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F2670427150-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252F-M_7L9oSN_kD-GgM2Hhg%252Fuploads%252FkeqzSetfidIAf22NCFQx%252FNVDA_2024-10-03_11-49-49.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3Dcdbdfcde-ddf9-4475-94e7-b5fe5d6aee33&width=768&dpr=3&quality=100&sign=baaefaf0&sv=2) These circles appear at the price level where the signal occurs, helping you visually identify key trading opportunities in real-time. **4\. Using Confluence for Trades** The **Confirmation Dashboard** doesn't rely on just one signal. It looks at multiple indicators together to provide a **confluence of signals**, giving you more confidence in your trades. You can set the dashboard to trigger an alert when a specific number of conditions are met. For example, you might want a long alert only if at least five "Long" conditions are active. This helps reduce false signals and increases the probability of successful trade opportunities. **5\. Setting Thresholds for Alerts** You can control how many green (favorable) conditions must be met before a trade alert is triggered. This is customizable through a threshold you set in the settings. For instance, you can specify that at least 3 conditions must be green before considering a long position, or at least 4 conditions must be red before considering a short. ![](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F2670427150-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252F-M_7L9oSN_kD-GgM2Hhg%252Fuploads%252FFAj4k9WH6E5YfHRsjcQW%252FScreenshot%25202024-10-03%2520115429.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3Df4b0d834-08d3-4e3c-a522-8e13cd7c6b77&width=768&dpr=3&quality=100&sign=25f2438&sv=2) **6\. How the Dashboard Helps You** The dashboard is a powerful tool that simplifies complex market data into a clear and actionable format. It: * **Saves time** by aggregating multiple indicators into one easy-to-read table. * **Improves decision-making** by showing you whether the market favors long or short trades based on confluence. * **Reduces uncertainty** by providing visual and table-based confirmations, allowing you to trade with confidence. By using this dashboard, you can avoid relying on just one indicator and instead make better trading decisions based on multiple conditions coming together, increasing the accuracy and success rate of your trades. Market structure refers to the series of price highs and lows that form over time, which help traders identify trends, potential reversals, and areas where the market is likely to change direction. **How It Works** 1. **Fractal Break of Structure (BOS):** The tool detects **fractals**, which are key points where the price makes a clear high or low, forming the foundation for the market structure. These fractals are used to highlight **bullish** and **bearish** trends. When price breaks through a key fractal level, this is called a **Break of Structure (BOS)**, signaling that the market might be shifting direction. 2. **Bullish and Bearish Structures:** * **Bullish Market Structure:** A bullish structure forms when the price breaks above a previous high, indicating that buyers are in control. In this case, the tool plots a green line and labels the break with a "BOS" tag, showing a bullish break of structure. * **Bearish Market Structure:** Conversely, a bearish structure occurs when the price breaks below a previous low, showing that sellers have taken control. This is marked with a red line and a "BOS" label for a bearish break of structure. 3. **Change of Character (ChoCH):** If the market was previously in a bearish trend and suddenly breaks a key bullish level, or vice versa, the tool identifies this as a **Change of Character (ChoCH)**. This signals a possible market reversal, offering a valuable early warning for traders. 4. **Support and Resistance Zones:** After a bullish BOS, the tool can plot a **support level**, where price is likely to find buying pressure if it retraces. After a bearish BOS, it can plot a **resistance level**, where price may encounter selling pressure. These support and resistance lines help traders identify areas where the price might stall or reverse again. **Why It Matters** * **Identify Trends Early:** By detecting breaks of structure and changes in character, the tool helps you catch the beginning of new trends, whether bullish or bearish. This gives you a head start in positioning your trades. * **Recognize Market Reversals:** The **Change of Character (ChoCH)** feature highlights moments when the market shifts from one trend to another, offering a clear signal for potential reversals. * **Strategic Entries and Exits:** Knowing when the market structure is breaking can help you time your trade entries and exits. For example, entering a long position after a bullish BOS or a short position after a bearish BOS increases your chances of trading in line with the dominant market trend. * **Support and Resistance:** The tool can also plot support and resistance lines, giving you visual cues for setting stop losses or take profits based on key levels where price is likely to react. In summary, the market structure tool helps you easily visualize the natural flow of the market, detect trend changes, and make informed trading decisions by analyzing the breaks of structure and potential reversals. Was this helpful? --- # VWAP | AlgoPro FAQ #### [hashtag](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/algopro-market-matrix/vwap#session-vwap-volume-weighted-average-price) Session VWAP (Volume Weighted Average Price) The **Volume Weighted Average Price (VWAP)** is a key indicator that shows the average price at which a security has traded, weighted by volume. It provides a clear view of the true average price traders have paid over a specific period, making it an essential tool for understanding market sentiment. The **Session VWAP** calculates the VWAP for different periods such as daily sessions, weekly, monthly, or even yearly timeframes. **How It Works** 1. **Anchor Period:** The tool allows you to set the **anchor period** for calculating the VWAP. You can choose between: * **Session:** Calculates VWAP for each trading session (usually a day). * **Week:** Calculates VWAP for each week. * **Month:** Calculates VWAP for each month. * **Year:** Calculates VWAP for each year. 2. **VWAP Calculation:** * The VWAP is calculated by taking the sum of the price multiplied by the volume, divided by the total volume for the chosen period. * The formula ensures that the VWAP gives more weight to prices with higher trading volumes, providing a more accurate reflection of the market's average price based on how much volume has occurred at each price level. 3. **Rolling VWAP:** The tool continuously updates the VWAP as new data (price and volume) comes in, ensuring that the VWAP reflects the most recent market activity. 4. **Visual Representation:** The VWAP is plotted on your chart as a line, making it easy to see the average price traders are paying during the selected period. A label is placed on the right side of the VWAP line, and the line extends to show how VWAP has changed over time. **Why It Matters** * **Market Sentiment:** The VWAP helps you understand whether the market is trading above or below the average price. If the current price is above the VWAP, it indicates that buyers are in control, while a price below the VWAP suggests that sellers are dominating. * **Institutional Benchmark:** Many institutional traders use the VWAP as a benchmark for their trades. If they can buy below the VWAP or sell above it, they are considered to be getting a good price compared to the average. * **Trade Entries and Exits:** Traders often use VWAP to time their entries and exits. For example, if the price drops below the VWAP, it might be a signal to buy, anticipating that the price will return to or rise above the VWAP. Similarly, if the price rises far above the VWAP, it could be a good time to sell. * **Risk Management:** The VWAP helps set realistic price expectations. You can use it to place stop losses or take profit levels based on where the VWAP is relative to your entry price, reducing the chances of getting caught in unfavorable trades. In summary, the **Session VWAP** offers a simple yet powerful way to track the market's average price over different periods, helping you make better-informed trading decisions by understanding where the majority of trading activity has occurred. These levels act as "barriers" in the market, where price tends to either reverse or break through. In this tool, we’ve integrated an advanced AI powered support and resistance function to automatically detect these zones, helping you better navigate the market. ![](https://algopro.gitbook.io/traders-trail-faq/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F2670427150-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252F-M_7L9oSN_kD-GgM2Hhg%252Fuploads%252FUyoOSzvPp4YnMlknD2A8%252FNVDA_2024-10-03_12-10-52.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3D5a0a7863-6a49-4222-a19e-72ea9dc26c73&width=768&dpr=3&quality=100&sign=a185a6be&sv=2) **How It Works** 1. **AI-Powered Zone Detection:** The tool uses AI clustering methods—either **K-means** or **K-median**—to group price data into significant support and resistance levels. It does this by analyzing up to 1000 (adjustable in settings) candles from the past to identify where the price has reacted the most. 2. **Adaptability with ATR:** To ensure these zones are aligned with the market’s volatility, we use the **Average True Range (ATR)** to determine the depth (size) of each zone. The more volatile the market, the larger the zones, allowing the tool to adapt to different market conditions. 3. **Visual Representation:** Once the clusters are identified, they are displayed as colored boxes on your chart—green for **support** and red for **resistance**. The boxes expand or contract based on the current price action, and each zone is labeled with its strength depending on how much price has interacted with that price level, giving you a quick understanding of how significant each zone is. **Why It Matters** * **Strategic Entries and Exits:** Support and resistance zones help you identify potential areas for entering or exiting trades. For example, when the price approaches a support zone, it could be a good opportunity to enter a long position, expecting a bounce. On the other hand, resistance zones are great for planning exits or short positions. * **Risk Management:** Knowing where these zones are allows you to place smarter stop losses and take profit levels. You can set your stop just below a support zone or take profit just before a resistance zone, increasing the effectiveness of your trade management. * **Breakout Opportunities:** When the price breaks through these key levels, it often leads to significant price movement. The tool helps you spot these breakouts, allowing you to position yourself early for potentially profitable moves. In short, the support and resistance function in this tool gives you a clear and adaptive view of the market’s key levels in a revolutionary AI powered way, empowering you to make more informed and confident trading decisions.
