This means for every $100 you bet, you could win $200 in profit. According to your analysis (or AVO's suggestions), the actual probability of Team A winning is 40% (implied odds of +150). Since the implied probability of +200 odds is only 33.3%, this bet offers positive expected value. **Step 2: Calculating Expected Value** The formula for calculating EV is: In this case: * Probability of Win = 40% = 0.40 * Profit per Win = $200 * Probability of Loss = 60% = 0.60 * Amount Lost = $100 **Step 3: Interpretation** This positive EV of +20 means that, on average, you can expect a $20 profit per $100 bet if you were to place this wager repeatedly over time. **Step 4: Automating with AVO** AVO identifies such opportunities in real-time, ensuring you don’t miss profitable bets. By leveraging AVO's advanced tools, you can focus on executing high-value bets swiftly while minimizing manual calculations. 🪙 ![](https://arbsvsodds.gitbook.io/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F2993512561-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252FVXGbtKVFAB0D3cebsJxd%252Fuploads%252FiryH3sxztHl2CH7cWqH2%252FEV%2520formula.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3D200934fb-94b2-4b8e-970d-f9987773b56a&width=768&dpr=4&quality=100&sign=86e0427a&sv=2) ![](https://arbsvsodds.gitbook.io/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F2993512561-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252FVXGbtKVFAB0D3cebsJxd%252Fuploads%252FXL69RtVHiy0dQDZ6z5kq%252FEV%2520Formula%25202.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3D96bffeee-a159-4a54-ad95-555329422e85&width=768&dpr=4&quality=100&sign=cbf5ea8b&sv=2) --- # Exploring Arbitrage and Positive EV Betting | AVO User Manual [PreviousIntroduction to AVO](/avo-documentation) [NextArbitrage Mathematical Example](/avo-documentation/arbitrage-mathematical-example) Last updated 3 months ago Arbitrage and positive EV betting are clever strategies that leverage differences in odds offered by sportsbooks to secure profitable outcomes. While arbitrage betting ensures a guaranteed profit regardless of the event's result, positive EV betting focuses on identifying wagers with a long-term statistical edge. Both strategies take advantage of the unique algorithms sportsbooks use to calculate odds. Whether you want a guaranteed profit (arbitrage), a long-term edge (positive EV), extra potential (middles), or minimal house margin (low holds), AVO makes it easy. [](#understanding-sportsbooks-arbitrage-and-positive-ev-betting) Understanding Sportsbooks, Arbitrage, and Positive EV Betting ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sportsbooks are platforms where bettors can place wagers on sporting events. Each sportsbook uses proprietary algorithms to set odds, resulting in variations between them. These differences create opportunities for bettors to secure profits. * **Arbitrage Betting**: This involves placing opposite bets on the same event across different sportsbooks. By carefully calculating the wagers, bettors can guarantee a return regardless of the outcome. * **Positive EV Betting**: Unlike arbitrage, this strategy capitalizes on odds that suggest a higher probability of winning than implied. These bets offer long-term profitability, as the odds are in the bettor's favor over time. Both strategies demand precision, speed, and a strategic approach to maximize profits. [](#introducing-middles-low-holds-and-the-promo-converter) Introducing Middles, Low Holds, and the Promo Converter ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- #### [](#middles) Middles * **What They Are**: A middle bet is when you take both the over and the under (or one team plus the points, and the other team minus the points) on different lines. If the final result lands exactly in the “middle,” you can **win both** bets. * **Why Try It?**: You still have some “break-even” protection (since one of your bets could win if the other loses), but if the result hits just right, you double up. #### [](#low-holds) Low Holds * **What It Means**: The “hold” (or “vig”) is how sportsbooks profit. A **low hold** means the sportsbook’s margin is very small—often close to zero. * **Why It Helps**: You can bet on both sides with almost no house edge. It’s great for meeting rollover requirements (to earn bonuses or VIP perks) or just to place safer, near-even bets. #### [](#promo-free-bet-converter) Promo (Free Bet) Converter * **What It Does**: Turns free or bonus bets into near-guaranteed cash. By “hedging” (placing an opposite bet) on another line, you secure a chunk of the free bet’s value rather than risking it all on one outcome. * **Why It’s Great**: Most free bets only pay out winnings, not the stake. This tool helps you **capture** as much cash value as possible from those bonus bets. ### [](#key-considerations-for-successful-arbitrage-betting) Key Considerations for Successful Arbitrage Betting: #### [](#id-1.-selective-betting) 1\. Selective Betting * **Arbitrage**: Find games where the odds differ enough to lock in guaranteed profit. * **Positive EV**: Spot lines where your odds are better than the sportsbook’s implied chance. * **Middles**: Look for lines that have at least a small chance to win both sides. * **Low Holds**: Target markets where the sportsbook’s cut is minimal or zero. #### [](#id-2.-calculated-wagering) 2\. Calculated Wagering * **Arbitrage**: Use a calculator (like AVO’s) to split bets accurately and lock in profit. * **Positive EV**: Keep betting on favorable lines, understanding it’s about the long-term edge. * **Middles**: Place your bets so that you don’t lose much if you don’t “hit the middle,” but can profit big if you do. * **Low Holds**: Wager on both sides knowing there’s minimal risk from the sportsbook’s margin. * **Promo Converter**: Use your free bet plus a hedge to secure some guaranteed cash. #### [](#id-3.-speed-is-essential) 3\. Speed Is Essential Odds can change in moments. Arbitrage, EV, middles, and low-hold chances all disappear quickly if lines move. AVO’s real-time updates let you act before the odds shift. #### [](#id-4.-persistence-pays-off) 4\. Persistence Pays Off * **Arbitrage**: Each bet might yield a small return, but those add up. * **Positive EV**: A few losses won’t matter if most bets favor you in the long run. * **Middles**: You might only “hit the middle” occasionally, but the reward can be huge. * **Low Holds**: Keep churning volume with minimal house edge to unlock bonuses or VIP perks. * **Promo Converter**: Every free bet you convert adds extra cash to your bankroll. ### [](#a-strategic-play-against-the-odds) A Strategic Play Against the Odds With AVO, you can combine **Arbitrage**, **Positive EV**, **Middles**, **Low Holds**, and the **Promo Converter** in one streamlined dashboard. You can access the settings menu by clicking either the gear in the top right of the wallet, the filters button on the control panel, or the bet mode settings button also on the control panel (at the bottom of the bet feed on the left). The bet mode settings button will correlate to whatever mode you're currently on. If you're on arbitrage, it'll take you the arbitrage settings, for example. [](#arbitrage-settings) Arbitrage Settings ----------------------------------------------- The Arbitrage Settings contain options to sort your arb cards by. You can sort by percentage, with the highest percentage at the top of the list, or by duration with the longest active arb at the top of the list. You can also set a minimum percentage to filter out any arbs that have a lower profit percentage than you minimum. Additionally, you can set the minimum time that an arb has been active to be displayed. For instance, setting it to 20 seconds will only show arbs that have been around for at least that long. [](#positive-ev-settings) Positive EV Settings --------------------------------------------------- The +EV Settings allow you to customize your preferences and tailor the algorithm to your liking. ### [](#sharp-books-default-custom) **Sharp Books (Default/Custom)** * “Sharp” sportsbooks are often the most accurate at predicting odds. By default, we use our predefined list of sharp books. Switching to Custom lets you pick your own set of books or apply different “weights” (how heavily each book’s odds should factor into calculations). ### [](#custom-books-weights) **Custom Books/Weights** * Add specific sportsbooks and assign each a “weight.” A higher weight means that book’s odds influence your +EV calculations more than the others. ### [](#odds-minimum-maximum) **Odds (Minimum/Maximum)** * Filter out bets with odds outside your preferred range. For example, if you only want to see odds between -200 and +200, set these here. ### [](#kelly-criterion-bankroll-and-percentage) **Kelly Criterion (Bankroll and Percentage)** * The Kelly Criterion is a method to decide how much of your bankroll to wager on each bet. * “Bankroll” is the total amount of money you’re willing to risk. * “Percentage (0 - 1)” is the fraction of the full Kelly amount you want to wager (e.g., 0.5 = half Kelly). ### [](#amount-on-book-custom) **Amount on Book (Custom)** * Decide how much to treat as your “bankroll” on each specific sportsbook. This helps if each sportsbook has a different balance available. ### [](#primary-devig-algorithm-multiplicative-additive-best-worst-devigging-removes-the-sportsbooks-cut-the) **Primary Devig Algorithm (Multiplicative / Additive / Best / Worst)** “Devigging” removes the sportsbook’s cut (the “vig”) from the odds. Here are the options: * **Multiplicative:** A well-rounded choice. Most experienced bettors prefer it because it balances both sides of the odds fairly. * **Additive:** A simpler approach that subtracts an equal amount of vig from each side. It’s more straightforward but can be less precise. * **Best:** Picks the most aggressive scenario, giving you the highest potential return but also higher risk. * **Worst:** Picks the safest scenario by assuming the least favorable odds, so your profit might grow more slowly, but you’re playing it safer. If you’re unsure, **Multiplicative** is usually your best starting point. ### [](#one-sided-lines-any-some-none) **One Sided Lines (Any / Some / None)** * Some markets only have one betting option listed (like a single side of a prop). * Choose whether to show these “one sided” lines: “Any” (show them all), “Some” (only partial), or “None” (exclude them). ### [](#sharp-books-required) **Sharp Books Required** * This means the minimum number of your “sharp books” that must provide odds for a bet before it shows up. * For example, if you have 5 sharp books total and set **Sharp Books Required** to **3**, you’ll only see bets that are covered by at least 3 of those sharp books’ lines. [](#middles-settings) Middles Settings ------------------------------------------- The Middles Settings allows you to select the gap size of the middle. The initial bet amount can be anything but in general the larger the sum the larger the profit. To find the potential winnings, you use the formula: (100 / |Odds|) \* Bet Amount In this case, (100 / 120) \* $600 = $500 **Step 3: Total Possible Return** If Team A wins, you get your initial bet back ($600) plus your winnings ($500), totaling $1100. **Step 4: Calculating the Hedge Bet** Now, you want to make sure that if Team B wins, you also get $1100. To find out how much to bet, you use the formula: Desired Total Return / (Odds / 100 + 1) For Team B, this would be $1100 / (150 / 100 + 1) $1100 / 2.5 = $440 **Step 5: Verifying the Hedge** If Team B wins, your $440 bet would net you $660 in winnings (440 \* 1.5). You'd then get back your initial $440 along with the $660, totaling $1100. **Step 6: Total Investment and Profit** You've bet $600 on Team A and $440 on Team B, which totals to $1040. You stand to make a return of $1100 either way, securing a profit of $60 ($1100 - $1040). **Step 7: Shifting Funds and Managing Risk** You will lose the initial investment on the losing bet but make it back, and more, from the winning bet. You'll need to withdraw some money from the winning sportsbook (assuming the balance is $0 on the other) and re-deposit back onto the losing sportsbooks to continue betting. Additionally, you need to place both bets before the odds change to secure this guaranteed profit. **Rule of thumb** A quick rule of thumb is if both odds are negative then the arb is “dead”. If one is negative and the other positive there may be an arb opportunity as long as the positive is greater than the negative. If both are positive this is a rare “golden” arb which offers much larger returns than usual (known as a "Heater" 🔥 in the industry). Returns also tend to diminish as the odds values increase. This means that -120 and +130 odds yield a larger return than -420 and +430 odds. Smaller numbers are better unless you see a small negative odd and a large positive one (i.e -120 and +430) which is a good sign. #### [](#automating-with-avo) Automating with AVO AVO does all these calculations for you in real-time, tells you exactly how much to place as the hedge bet, and enables you to capitalize on the opportunity swiftly. 🔢 ![](https://arbsvsodds.gitbook.io/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F2993512561-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252FVXGbtKVFAB0D3cebsJxd%252Fuploads%252FEWmfhBgo3FjSQuQH7pGs%252FMoneyline%2520Odds.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3Dc796dfda-febf-411f-99be-4beaa3c97419&width=768&dpr=4&quality=100&sign=7b8a8204&sv=2) ![](https://arbsvsodds.gitbook.io/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F2993512561-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252FVXGbtKVFAB0D3cebsJxd%252Fuploads%252FlhGIwl73IRgzzLY6b5nb%252FTeam%2520A%2520Betslip.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3D2d875c5c-871b-43df-acfd-ec6aa7ab812b&width=768&dpr=4&quality=100&sign=81df803c&sv=2) ![](https://arbsvsodds.gitbook.io/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F2993512561-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252FVXGbtKVFAB0D3cebsJxd%252Fuploads%252FRBMRR36vzqaLGX2BOEyX%252FTeam%2520B%2520Betslip.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3De66b8461-9c73-4717-b3d6-0dded19c6b18&width=768&dpr=4&quality=100&sign=59d6c874&sv=2) ![](https://arbsvsodds.gitbook.io/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F2993512561-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252FVXGbtKVFAB0D3cebsJxd%252Fuploads%252FknlppYVVliqZ4iLlhWiB%252FProfit%2520%281%29.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3D8828998d-b1c1-40c6-b2a5-4b2bcfbbdc03&width=768&dpr=4&quality=100&sign=3f7b07ae&sv=2) --- # Positive EV Calculator | AVO User Manual [PreviousArbitrage Calculator](/avo-documentation/dashboard/arbitrage-calculator) [NextBet Tracker](/avo-documentation/dashboard/bet-tracker) Last updated 3 months ago [](#overview) Overview --------------------------- The +EV Calculator displays the current EV bet you've selected, showing the recommended wager amount determined by your Kelly Criterion value. Similarly to the arb calculator, this also works in tandem with the Wallet by monitoring the available funds you have on each sportsbook. [](#ev-display-functions) +EV Display Functions ---------------------------------------------------- When an EV bet is displayed on the calculator, there are a few different functions to cover. Let's go over the different functions of the Positive EV Calculator with an example of a game between the Ravens and the Steelers. After clicking the Bet Card, the calculator will populate with the game and bet details. On the left side, we see (from top to bottom): * The Sportsbook involved * The Team involved * Current odds of the bet * Toggle button for turning auto odds on/off * Profitable indicator light on the left and right side of the calculator On the right side, we see: * The recommended bet size (based on your Kelly Criterion) * Wager Lock toggle In the center, from top to bottom: * League * Both teams * Bet type * Current Game Score/Time * Devigging Methods * Sharp Book Odds There are three controls at the bottom we can access: * Format (swaps from odds format to probability percentage) * Track bet (adds the current bet to the bet tracker) * Share button for generating a share card of the current bet Additionally, the expected profit is at the screen directly under the calculator. [](#using-the-calculator) Using the Calculator --------------------------------------------------- When an EV bet is being displayed on the calculator, we simply follow the information it's presenting. Open the appropriate sportsbook, find the game, and place the recommended bet on the correct market. If the odds change on the bet, the wager will automatically update to ensure that you're profitable. Additionally, you can change your devigging method directly on the calculator. Simply click one of the four options and your recommended bet amount will update. Below the devigging methods is the odds of your sharp sportsbooks. At the far left, you'll see the current odds for both sides of the book you'll be placing the bet on. To the right of that is the average odds of all available sharp sportsbooks containing the bet. To the right of the average odds are the sharp sportsbooks, along with their current odds for both sides of the current bet. Clicking any of the sharp books or the average odds will adjust the recommended bet amount. Lastly, the format button swaps the odds to win probability percentage. [](#custom-positive-ev-bet) Custom Positive EV Bet ------------------------------------------------------- When an EV Bet is not selected, our calculator displays the custom EV bet screen. In the center, we have the following input fields: * League Selection * Event Name * Market Name * Devig Method * Sharp Books Odds Input On the Left of the calculator we can choose the sportsbook that we've placed a bet on along with: * Odds of both sides of the bet (over/under odds for example) On the right side of the calculator we can input the amount we wagered. This is an example of a completed custom EV bet ready to be tracked: From here, we can click 'Track' to add it to our bet tracker. If we click 'Clear' we are returned to a blank Custom EV Bet Calculator and the custom fields are cleared. Additionally, we can click 'Share' to generate a share card of our custom EV Bet. ⚙️ 🎛️ ![](https://arbsvsodds.gitbook.io/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F2993512561-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252FVXGbtKVFAB0D3cebsJxd%252Fuploads%252FW6cRGzy5NgbP83MpibyD%252FEV%2520Calc.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3Da93d32c8-202a-40c0-83fc-b91d727d4414&width=768&dpr=4&quality=100&sign=6677f74a&sv=2) ![](https://arbsvsodds.gitbook.io/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F2993512561-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252FVXGbtKVFAB0D3cebsJxd%252Fuploads%252FFTm4E2jtr4grqf3FakFZ%252FEV%2520Calc%2520Diagram%2520%282%29.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3D91844797-2ddb-4875-a1a2-d6462ff2648e&width=768&dpr=4&quality=100&sign=ac0a0172&sv=2) ![](https://arbsvsodds.gitbook.io/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F2993512561-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252FVXGbtKVFAB0D3cebsJxd%252Fuploads%252FWuSv8d02LhNC3nIN8AoF%252Fcustom%2520ev%2520bet.PNG%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3D7f6e20d4-ccc5-4eca-9d7f-c82be90d3fa7&width=768&dpr=4&quality=100&sign=2708ff59&sv=2) ![](https://arbsvsodds.gitbook.io/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F2993512561-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252FVXGbtKVFAB0D3cebsJxd%252Fuploads%252FxbnmDafjAE1HhRFKP3Xv%252Fcustom%2520ev%2520bet%2520finished.PNG%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3Df1296107-ad8b-40ff-8ec6-b797d7d69c07&width=768&dpr=4&quality=100&sign=89d9ba6e&sv=2) --- # Wallet | AVO User Manual [PreviousDashboard](/avo-documentation/dashboard) [NextBet Feed](/avo-documentation/dashboard/bet-feed) Last updated 3 months ago The wallet allows you to add and manage your sportsbook accounts as well as your money apps (Cash). Choosing your state will filter sportsbooks that are available in your location. ### [](#default-bet-amount) Default Bet Amount This is the largest amount of money that will be placed on one side of a bet. The other side will never exceed this amount. * Example #1: **Default bet is set to $500**, an arb appears with odds of -110 and +130, **$500** will be placed on the -110 side and $415 will be placed on the +130 side for a profit of $39.50 * Example #2: **Default bet is set to $500**, an arb appears with odds of +105 and +120, **$500** will be placed on the +105 side and $466 will be placed on the +130 side for a profit of $59.00 ### [](#default-bet-rounding) Default Bet Rounding This is the amount that wagers will be rounded to. Choose between rounding to nearest $1, $5, $10, or none. * **Bet Rounding $1:** A bet of $589.04 will be rounded to $589, A bet of $535.78 will be rounded to $536 * **Bet Rounding $5:** A bet of $314 will be rounded to $315, A bet of $302 will be rounded to $300 * **Bet Rounding $10:** A bet of $602 will be rounded to $600, A bet of $608 will be rounded to $610 _It's recommended that you use one of the rounding options as sportsbooks will flag/limit accounts that are making exact bets (i.e. $102.45) as it's usually indicative of arbitrage betting._ ### [](#locations) Locations The General Settings also contain a dropdown menu for selecting your location. For bet rounding, select a custom rounding amount or leave it at default 5. Click 'Save' Additionally, there is a setting at the bottom called "Odds Display". This is a very useful feature for books that are known for limiting players very quickly. * **All** will display both positive and negative odds for that book in arbitrage opportunities * **\+ Odds** will display ONLY positive odds on this book (favored to lose) * **\- Odds** will display ONLY negative odds on this book (favored to win) If you're using a book that is prone to limiting players, setting that book to **\+ Odds** will help in extending the life of it before getting limited. You'll notice that the mobile version looks and behaves just like the desktop version. This is, of course, entirely by design. If you're proficient on the desktop version you should have no problem transitioning to mobile and vice versa. **Two important notes to keep in mind:** * All changes made on mobile or desktop version will by synced across devices * You may have up to 3 active AVO sessions running at the same time (i.e. one on your phone, one on your computer, and even a third on your tablet for example) ### [](#navigation) Navigation ### [](#home) Home The home button takes you to the main page of the dashboard. From here you can see bet cards and access the calculator. ### [](#wallet) Wallet The wallet sections works exactly like the desktop version. However, since we can't right click on books to turn them on/off, we've replaced with a button below each icon. Clicking on the button will activate/disable books. A green circle means the book is turned on, while a grey circle means it's turned off. Clicking the plus button at the top right of the wallet will allow you to add sportsbooks. Clicking on "Total Available" at the bottom left will cycle through the wallet details. #### [](#custom-sportsbook-settings) Custom Sportsbook Settings Clicking on the icon of a sportsbook will take you into the settings for that book. From here you can enter the bankroll amount and owner, as well as access bet amount, bet rounding, and odds display settings. To remove a sportsbook, click the delete icon on the top right, then click delete on the popup. ### [](#calculator) Calculator Clicking on a bet card on the home page will add it to the calculator. This will automatically scroll you up to the top of the page. Due to size restrictions of a mobile device, we've had to redesign the calculator slightly. All functionality remains the same however. At the top of the calculator you'll see the bet information as well as the books involved. Clicking on the icon of a book will open the sportsbooks app automatically (make sure you have it installed on your phone and you're logged in). The icons with a moving animation support One-Click Bet and will open the bet slip on the sportsbook app with your bet ready to place (you'll still need to enter the wager amount yourself). The icons without an animation will open to the page containing the game on the sportsbook app. Next to the odds and wager inputs are lock icons. Tapping the lock icon next to an odds input will prevent that one from automatically updating. Additionally, tapping the lock icon next to a wager amount will lock that amount in place. At the bottom of the calculator you'll see some additional controls: * Track: Adds the bet to the bet tracker page * Live Odds: Turns off any locks next to the odds, making them updating in real time again * Clear Locks: Clears all locks on wager amounts * Clear All: Clears the entire calculator, including the bet currently on it ### [](#bet-tracker) Bet Tracker The bet tracker contains tracked bets that you've hit. You can search by date using the calendar at the top. You'll also see the total profit and pending profit at the top of the screen. #### [](#editing-and-completing-a-tracked-bet) Editing and Completing a Tracked Bet Clicking on a tracked bet brings up the details of the bet. Here, you can edit the odds and stake amount on both sportsbooks. You can delete tracked bets using the delete button and complete a tracked bets by picking the winner, and then clicking "Save". ### [](#filters) Filters The last section is the filters page. Just as the desktop version, you can display live bets, pregame, or both. You can also adjust the ordering, minimum %, location, and filter out sports and markets. It updates every 2 seconds, with a full bar representing an active time of at least 30 seconds. This is particularly useful for scenarios when it is extremely chaotic and it's difficult to decide on which arb to chase. Arbs with a full green bar are likely to be easier to hit as they've been sitting there longer. There is also a timer on the bottom right showing how far along the Active Timer is. [](#ev-cards) EV Cards --------------------------- Similarly to arb cards, pregame and live EV opportunities are displayed as 'EV Cards', showing users the profit percentage. These looks identical to arb cards, but with only one sportsbook logo on the card, since you'll only be placing one bet per EV opportunity. ### [](#bet-card-controls) Bet Card Controls Bet Cards can be controlled by simply scrolling through the list and clicking on one of interest. Any changes that occur with odds on a bet will be displayed and the wager amount will be automatically recalculated. The calculator works in tandem with the Wallet by monitoring the available funds you have on each sportsbook, as well as the default/custom bet amounts you've assigned. [](#arb-display-functions) Arb Display Functions ----------------------------------------------------- When an arb is displayed on the calculator, there are a few different functions to cover. While it might seem overwhelming at first glance, the calculator is very simple to use. Let's take an example with a game between the Steelers and Ravens: After clicking the Arb Card, the calculator will populate with the game and bet details. On the left side, we see (from top to bottom): * Sportsbook involved * Team * Bet type * Current odds * Wager amount There are also a few functions that we have access to: * Clicking on the Sportsbook logo will take you directly to the event page * Clicking the green dot under the odds will **stop** it from automatically updating (Click it again to turn back on) * Clicking the green radar button to the side of the odds will trigger emergency mode _**for that side**_ and will scan for the same bet on your other available sportsbooks * Clicking the lock button to the side of the wager will **hold** it in place, regardless of the odds or wager on the right side (Click it again to unlock) _The right side contains the other half of the bet with the appropriate information_ On the middle, we see (from top to bottom): * The League of the bet * Both Sportsbooks involved * Average odds of both sides across all sportsbooks (the green number is the +EV side which is deviating the most from the average and is more likely to change) * Both Teams involved * Bet Type * Current game score/time * Profit % There are three controls at the bottom we can access: * Auto OFF/ON (turns off/on automatic odd updates for **both** sides) * Track bet (adds the current bet to the bet tracker) * Share button for generating a share card of the current bet [](#using-the-calculator) Using the Calculator --------------------------------------------------- When an arb is being displayed on the calculator, we simply follow the information it's presenting. Open the appropriate sportsbooks, find the game, and place the bet on the correct market. If the odds change on the bet, the wager will automatically update to ensure that you're profitable. However, sometimes we will need to manually go in and enter a new wager/odds. To do so: * Click the odds window and enter the new value * Click the wager window and enter the new amount ### [](#controls) Controls In an effort to speed up your ability to use the calculator, we've implemented some hotkeys * The **SHIFT** key will move **UP/DOWN** between the odds and wager windows * The **TAB** key will move **LEFT/RIGHT** on either the odds window or the wager window (depending on which one you're currently on) * The **SPACE** key will change the odds format between **POSITIVE** and **NEGATIVE** on whichever odds window is selected * The **UP/DOWN** arrow keys will increase or decrease the value of the currently selected window [](#emergency-button) Emergency Button ------------------------------------------- The emergency button is an innovative tool created by AVO to help users quickly find a hedge bet if one side of an arb closes when the other side was placed. To use the emergency button, **click the button on the side that closed.** The calculator will then go into emergency mode by doing the following: * Turns off auto odds update on the side that was placed * Locks the wager amount on the side that was placed * Scans and lists potential hedge bets in the Bet Feed As you can see from the image above, the emergency button was activated on the right side, for Bet365. The Fanduel bet side turned off auto odds and locked the wager. On the Bet Feed we can see 4 options from our available books. The bottom one is -3.1% profit, indicating that we'll lose money on that option. Sometimes, a small hit is the only option available, which is always better than a complete loss of your total wager. [](#share-card) Share Card ------------------------------- Clicking the share button on the calculator generates a Share Card of the current bet. These can be posted to social media or wherever you want. Clicking on the share card on desktop will copy it to your clipboard. On mobile, simply click and hold the image until the copy option becomes available. [](#bottom-calculator-controls) Bottom Calculator Controls --------------------------------------------------------------- The bottom of the calculator contains a few additional controls as well as our profit screen. From left to right, we have: * Previous Arb button to see the last clicked arb * Next Arb button to go to current/next clicked arb * Profit Lock button to hold profit amount (will update odds/wager amounts necessary to reach that amount) * Current Profit window for the arb being displayed * Swap button to switch the left and right side screens of the calculator * Clear button to reset the calculator (click previous arb button to undo) [](#one-click-bet) One-Click Bet ------------------------------------- Arbing is all about speed, and AVO wants you to succeed. We've implemented One-Click Bet (OCB) on sportsbooks that support it which allows you to open the sportsbook website with the bet slip open, containing your bet. For books that don't support OCB, we'll take you to the game page on their website. ### [](#using-ocb) Using OCB When an arb is on the calculator, you'll see the two sportsbooks logos on the left and right side above each bet. Clicking on the logo will open up the sportsbook website. _**We recommend using the AVO Tabs plugin to open the links in another tab so that you can still see the dashboard at the same time**_ #### [](#supported-ocb-sportsbooks) Supported OCB Sportsbooks * Fanduel * Draftkings * BetMGM * Caesars * ESPNBet * BetRivers * SugarHouse * BetParx * ProphetX [](#calculator-errors-indicators) Calculator Errors/Indicators ------------------------------------------------------------------- While using the calculator, it's common for bets to close or for odds to change. When this happens, different types of error lights will be displayed on the screen. ### [](#profitable-unprofitable-bet) Profitable/Unprofitable Bet Depending on the profit % of the current arb, the center display will show a range of colors going from green (high %) to red (low % or zero) The light bars on the side of the calculator will also display the current status of the bet: * Green - Arb is open and profitable * Flashing Red - Arb is either closed on one or both sides, or profit is zero/negative ### [](#closed-bet) Closed Bet If a bet closes on either side (or both), a closed icon will appear beneath the wager for the respective side. A sound will also play to indicate that this action has occurred. If the bet reopens, the icon will disappear and a different sound will play to alert you (unless you click a different arb card). ### [](#split-profit) Split Profit Depending on the odds/amount wagered, you can sometimes get a split profit. This is represented by an orange triangle icon and the split profits are displayed on the profit screen. If the bet on the left side sportsbook wins, the profit will be the left (first) one display and visa versa for the right side. Usually, this happens when one or both wager amounts are locked. Simply unlocking one of the wager amounts will re-balance the profit. [](#standalone-use) Standalone Use --------------------------------------- Sometimes, you might want to use the calculator without any arb information on it. To do so, simply click **CLEAR** under the calculator and you'll have a blank canvas to work with. All calculator controls mentioned earlier will work on clear mode. Additionally, you can also create a custom bet to be tracked [](#custom-bet) Custom Bet ------------------------------- Clicking the 'Track' button on a blank calculator allows you to create a custom arb to track. This is useful for if you hit a bet on AVO or in general and didn't get to add it to the bet tracker. When we click 'Track' we are greeted with the following screen: In the center, we have the following input fields: * League Selection * Event Name * Market Name * Left Selection * Right Selection On the Left and Right sides of the calculator, we can input the odds and wager amounts. Additionally, we can click on the sportsbook dropdown icon at the top of both sides and pick the sportsbook that we placed the bet(s) on. This is an example of a completed custom arb ready to be tracked: From here, we can click 'Track' to add it to our bet tracker. If we click 'Cancel' or 'Clear' we are returned to a blank calculator and the custom arb fields are cleared. Additionally, we can click 'Share' to generate a share card of our custom arb. ⚙️ 🎛️ Left side of the calculator Left side: Open profitable arb Right side: Non-profitable arb Left side: Bet has closed on BetMGM only Right side: Bet has closed on both BetMGM and Fanduel If the bet wins on ESPNBet, the profit will be $36.67. If Bet365 wins the bet, the profit will be $32. --- # Bet Tracker | AVO User Manual [PreviousPositive EV Calculator](/avo-documentation/dashboard/positive-ev-calculator) [NextMobile](/avo-documentation/dashboard/mobile) Last updated 3 months ago The Bet Tracker is used to record bets that you've placed. When you've completed a bet, clicking **"Track"** on the calculator will add it to the tracker at the bottom of the dashboard. The appropriate amounts of money are also withdrawn from the wallet automatically. When a bet is won, the winning sportsbook will receive the initial wager amount plus the profit. It's good practice in the world of sports betting to log each successful bet for both profit tracking as well as tax purposes. \***Note: Currently the bet tracker requires you to manually mark the winning sportsbook. This will soon be made automatic**\* [](#tracking-a-bet) Tracking a Bet --------------------------------------- Tracking a bet is as simple as clicking **"Track"** on the calculator. However, before we add it to the Bet Tracker we should: * Ensure all odds/wager amounts are accurate (Enter in the correct values for any incorrect odd/wager, you may need to turn off _auto odds update_ if the odds keep changing) * Ensure the bet type, game, and sportsbooks used are accurate (Always double check your bet slips) ### [](#tracked-bet-behavior) Tracked Bet Behavior When you track an bet, you won't see duplicates of the same bet from the same book combo anymore. Additionally, specific bets by time period will be removed when tracked. For example, if you place a 3rd quarter point spread for Team A and Team B on Fanduel and Draftkings, you will no longer see anymore 3rd quarter point spreads on that same game with that book combo (this is done to reduce chances of getting limited on sportsbooks). You will, however, see that same bet on different book combos. ### [](#marking-a-tracked-bet) Marking a tracked bet As mentioned earlier, the bet tracker requires you to manually choose which book won the bet. Although this is only temporary, we will still need to know how to correctly mark a bet. For marking arbitrage/low holds bets: 1. Wait until the bet clears and the money is won on either of the two sportsbooks used 2. Click _**"Choose Winner"**_ on the bottom left of the tracked bet 3. Select the sportsbook that won the bet 4. Click **"Done"** For marking positive EV bets: 1. Wait until the bet clears and the money is either won or lost 2. Click _**"Choose Winner"**_ on the bottom left of the tracked EV bet 3. Select Win by clicking the checkmark or Loss by selecting the X depending on the outcome of the bet 4. Click **"Done"** For marking middles: 1. Wait until the bet clears 2. Click _**"Choose Winner"**_ on the bottom left of the tracked middles bet 3. Select which side won, or if both sides won, or if neither side won. 4. Click **"Done"** [](#viewing-editing-tracked-bets) Viewing/Editing Tracked Bets ------------------------------------------------------------------- After tracking a bet, you might want to go back and either it view it again, edit it, or delete it. All three actions are very simple to do. #### [](#viewing) Viewing To view a tracked bet, simply click on it and it will be displayed on the calculator #### [](#editing) Editing To edit a tracked bet, simply click on it and enter in the updated values, then click **"Save"** at the bottom of the calculator #### [](#deleting) Deleting To delete a tracked bet you can either: * **Right Click** on a tracked bet and then click **"Delete"** OR * Click on a tracked bet and then click **"Delete"** on the bottom of the calculator [](#bet-tracker-controls) Bet Tracker Controls --------------------------------------------------- There are a few different controls on the Bet Tracker: From left to right, the controls are: * Bet History * Hide/View tracked bets (clicking it opens a dropdown menu to include/exclude certain bets by type and status) * Auto scroll tracked arbs ON/OFF _You can also click on the arrow to swipe through additional tracked arbs not shown on screen_ [](#bet-history) Bet History --------------------------------- The Bet History allows you to view the bets placed on any given day. Clicking the Bet History icon above the Bet Tracker will bring up a calendar on the calculator screen. Simply choose a day that you betted on and you will see all of the bets that you placed. The total profit for the month will be shown in the screen underneath the calculator. To exit the Bet History, click the icon again or click CLEAR on the bottom of the calculator. ⚙️ 🐾 ![](https://arbsvsodds.gitbook.io/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F2993512561-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252FVXGbtKVFAB0D3cebsJxd%252Fuploads%252FiByBH9FLuAiQyVG0xD0D%252FBet%2520tracker%2520%284%29.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3D44a0ee52-b2a2-4c0c-b61f-61431b5f14ee&width=768&dpr=4&quality=100&sign=64dd4f2b&sv=2) ![](https://arbsvsodds.gitbook.io/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F2993512561-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252FVXGbtKVFAB0D3cebsJxd%252Fuploads%252FNECOzYUyKxdpX5h0gOCJ%252Fmarking%2520tracked%2520arb.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3D80ba0dec-6b82-4e9e-8246-191df3d2d99f&width=768&dpr=4&quality=100&sign=44fb25a2&sv=2) ![](https://arbsvsodds.gitbook.io/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F2993512561-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252FVXGbtKVFAB0D3cebsJxd%252Fuploads%252FXnsJGvWGc6qgkdz0idld%252FEV%2520Bet%2520Track.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3Ddfa744bb-c041-46e5-b940-fa3333a022a6&width=768&dpr=4&quality=100&sign=639acc8f&sv=2) ![](https://arbsvsodds.gitbook.io/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F2993512561-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252FVXGbtKVFAB0D3cebsJxd%252Fuploads%252FCviBQwKIroYJNvpvpQkz%252Fmiddles%2520bet%2520track.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3D68a8d113-22c9-4919-ba6c-658acb297ba4&width=768&dpr=4&quality=100&sign=553a5e3c&sv=2) ![](https://arbsvsodds.gitbook.io/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F2993512561-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252FVXGbtKVFAB0D3cebsJxd%252Fuploads%252F2LKWvN9jL9WgtAqKV3qN%252Fdelete%2520tracked%2520bet.PNG%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3D1c353718-ec6b-4172-b28c-695a7dd70db9&width=768&dpr=4&quality=100&sign=79c96d02&sv=2) ![](https://arbsvsodds.gitbook.io/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F2993512561-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252FVXGbtKVFAB0D3cebsJxd%252Fuploads%252F00CzDqOF0ob7vItggOnM%252FTracker%2520controls%2520%281%29.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3D3f60e1fb-c54d-4c2c-a43b-fdf4e13524b7&width=768&dpr=4&quality=100&sign=a560c01d&sv=2) ![](https://arbsvsodds.gitbook.io/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F2993512561-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252FVXGbtKVFAB0D3cebsJxd%252Fuploads%252FAf1KAaP5cAHjJy57sH7M%252FBet%2520History.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3D7316a4d8-013f-4ecd-80d1-ac2fee9ebe55&width=768&dpr=4&quality=100&sign=eec889ed&sv=2) --- # Installation | AVO User Manual [PreviousAVO Tabs Plugin](/avo-documentation/avo-tabs-plugin) [NextGetting Started](/avo-documentation/avo-tabs-plugin/getting-started) Last updated 2 months ago AVO Tabs works only on Google Chrome (works on both PC and Mac). For beginners or those going it alone, the single player package is your best bet. If you have a friend or are very confident in your speed then live arbs are for you. If you're still weighing your options, the explorer version offers a solid starting point. Whichever route you choose, the fundamental steps to get started remain the same. ### [](#optimizing-your-work-environment) Optimizing Your Work Environment: \- Desk Setup: A clutter-free desk can significantly enhance focus and efficiency. \- Multiple Monitors: For those serious about arbing, multiple screens can provide a comprehensive view of various sportsbooks and the AVO Dashboard simultaneously. Although phones may be used in conjunction with a screen to perform arbs on sportsbook apps. \- Collaborating: If partnering up, sharing a space or being on a call can streamline communication and decision-making. ### [](#setting-up-your-sportsbooks-and-avo-dashboard) Setting Up Your Sportsbooks and AVO Dashboard: 1\. Log into your sportsbook accounts, keeping each accessible in separate tabs. 2\. Launch the AVO Dashboard, selecting and enabling the sportsbooks you plan to use. 3\. Set a default "initial bet" amount for the calculator (a recommended starting point is $700, though lower amounts are also completely viable, aiming for ⅓ to ½ of your total sportsbook funds). Balancing between increased profits due to a larger initial bet and running out of funds on an entire book (rendering it temporarily useless) while you wait for a bet to settle is key. $700 as an initial bet is recommended because in most cases the hedge bet amount is between $350 - $450 and yields a profit between $30 - $75 on average. This means you lock up about ~$1000 per arb until it settles. 4\. Prepare your bankroll, ideally starting with at least $3000 spread across your sportsbooks. Lesser amounts are fine, but in general a sizable bankroll ensures you can keep placing worthwhile arbs in rapid succession without running out of funds while you wait for the bets to settle. As you successfully arb, your bankroll will naturally grow so starting small is completely viable. 5\. Update the AVO Dashboard with the current funds in each sportsbook for easy monitoring. 6\. Having a PayPal account with additional funds is advisable for financial flexibility and easy distribution of funds across sportsbooks. Ensure that your PayPal account is linked to your bank account prior to arbing or the sportsbooks will not allow you to use it for deposits/withdrawals. 7\. If working with a partner, assign responsibility for specific sportsbooks to streamline the process. 8\. Both partners should keep the AVO Dashboard open for coordination. ### [](#familiarization) Familiarization: \- Know Your Platforms: Speed is of the essence in arbitrage betting. Familiarize yourself with both the sportsbooks and the AVO Dashboard to enhance your efficiency in spotting and placing bets. ### [](#beginning-to-arb) Beginning to Arb: 1\. Select an Arb Card from the Dashboard. If you've pre-set an "initial bet," the calculator will automatically suggest a hedge bet amount and potential profit. (TIP: Stay alert for notification sounds from the Dashboard especially when you’ve navigated away to the sportsbook page! Ba-Dum means it's dead.) 2\. Use the sportsbook icons on the calculator to navigate directly to the bet. If partnering, coordinate so each person clicks on a different sportsbook icon. Alternatively you can have multiple tabs open for each sportsbook if you think this way will be faster for you. 3\. Verify the sportsbook odds match those on the calculator. If discrepancies arise, manually adjust the odds on the calculator, input the correct bet amount on the betslip, and place your bet. Synchronize bet placement with your partner to avoid placing a one sided bet if odds change at the last second. 4\. Successful bet placement on both sides means you've secured a profit! Record your bet in the Dashboard's tracker by clicking the “+” symbol and wait for the bet to settle. Take this time to continue arbing within your bankroll's capacity. 5\. Post-settling, track the winning sportsbook on the Dashboard. This will automatically update your records accordingly. You can also check the “Bet History” to see how much you’ve earned per session. _**NOTE: Arbing may feel like an endless game of tag sometimes. Hang in there! It's all about persistence and patience.**_ ### [](#ending-the-session) Ending the Session: \- Confirm your sportsbook balances manually to ensure all transactions are accurately reflected. \- Ideally, redistribute funds across your sportsbooks evenly, utilizing PayPal for efficient financial management. This streamlined approach to setting up and engaging in arbitrage betting with AVO ensures a smooth, efficient, and potentially profitable betting experience, whether you're flying solo or collaborating. Here's how to effectively navigate common challenges and keep your betting strategy on track. #### [](#one-sided-bet-placement) One-Sided Bet Placement Issue: There's a risk of one bet being placed while the corresponding bet fails or changes, potentially exposing you to losses. This is likely the most common problem you will run into. Solution: If you find yourself with an unmatched bet, the immediate step is to cash out where possible to minimize any potential loss. Stay composed—overreacting can lead to hasty decisions. If you have a strong understanding of the sport, keep an eye on the odds and wait for them to change to hedge effectively. When in doubt, it's safer to step back and wait for a more secure arbitrage opportunity. #### [](#calculation-errors) Calculation Errors Issue: Mistakes in manual input or delays in updating odds can lead to calculation discrepancies, affecting the profitability of bets. Solution: To mitigate this, always double-check your inputs before placing bets. The Calculator's 'lock' feature is invaluable for securing your inputs against accidental changes. Staying vigilant with your checks ensures that you're working with the most accurate information. #### [](#hidden-arb-opportunities) Hidden Arb Opportunities Issue: Sometimes, potential arbitrage opportunities may not be visible due to overly restrictive filters or settings. Solution: Regularly review your Bet Settings to ensure filters are appropriately adjusted to your betting strategy. If certain arbs seem missing, consider clearing hidden bets to refresh your view of available opportunities. **Split-profit Arbs** Issue: Given that AVO rounds to the nearest dollar (at minimum) when determining the hedge bet amount—aiming to bypass the need for placing bets with cents, which can be seen as unusual by sportsbooks and also saves you time—the calculations may not always result in identical profit margins across all outcomes. Consequently, the profit from one outcome might slightly exceed that of another due to this rounding practice. Solution: The calculator will signal this situation by showing two distinct profit figures. You have the option to fine-tune the initial bet amount manually (we suggest adjusting in $1 increments) until the profits displayed are equal. Alternatively, you could choose to proceed with the uneven profit distribution, banking on the outcome with the higher projected profit to prevail. **Repeated winning by chance** Issue: Since your focus in arbitrage betting is not on any particular team's victory but rather on identifying the most profitable arbitrage opportunities across the sportsbooks at your disposal, there's a chance you may inadvertently win multiple bets in succession on the same sportsbook. From the perspective of the sportsbooks, it appears as though you're consistently winning, despite your strategy being centered on exploiting odds discrepancies rather than predicting outcomes. This perception could draw unwanted attention to your betting activities, as consistent winning is often scrutinized by sportsbooks. Solution: Exercising caution before engaging in an arbitrage opportunity, even if it's a lucrative one, can be prudent if it involves placing a bet with negative odds on a sportsbook where you've already accumulated multiple consecutive wins. Negative odds imply that the sportsbook's algorithm considers this outcome more likely (hence the smaller payout). Should this outcome materialize, it would result in yet another win on the same sportsbook, potentially elevating the risk of having your account limited. In such scenarios, weighing the risk of account limitations against the potential profit is essential. You can also try to purposely place small losing bets when not arbing to try to not look like too much of a winner. #### [](#best-practices-for-arbitrage-betting) Best Practices for Arbitrage Betting \- Stay Informed: Keeping up to date with the AVO Dashboard and understanding its features can make a significant difference in how effectively you can respond to these challenges. \- Be Prepared: Anticipate common issues and have a plan for how to address them. This preparation can include setting aside time to familiarize yourself with the sports you're betting on and having contingency plans for one-sided bets. \- Maintain Discipline: Arbitrage betting is as much about discipline and patience as it is about speed and efficiency. Recognizing when to act and when to wait is crucial. By being proactive and prepared, you can navigate the challenges of arbitrage betting with confidence, making the most of the AVO tool to secure profits while minimizing risks. Here's how to stay under the radar and keep your betting accounts unrestricted (and keep you from having to ask your mom for her sportsbook account). #### [](#diversifying-your-bets) Diversifying Your Bets \- Spread Your Bets: It's wise to vary your betting lines. For example, if you've placed a bet on the Pittsburgh Steelers with a -6.5 spread, wait a while before placing another bet on them with an -8.5 spread on the same sportsbook. Sportsbooks monitor for patterns that seem out of the ordinary, and too much focus on the same outcome can lead to account scrutiny. #### [](#managing-odds-and-payouts) Managing Odds and Payouts \- Watch the Odds: Pay close attention to the nature of the odds you're betting on. Continuously winning on bets with negative odds, such as -200, especially when these bets result in significant payouts, might alert sportsbooks. Balancing your betting by occasionally placing bets with positive odds can help mask your arbitrage activities, making your betting pattern appear more "typical" or even unprofitable from the sportsbook's perspective. #### [](#smart-bankroll-management) Smart Bankroll Management \- Keep Bets Consistent: The size of your bets matters. Sudden large bets or erratic betting patterns can attract unwanted attention. Stick to a consistent betting pattern that aligns with your usual activity. This approach not only helps in managing your bankroll effectively but also reduces the chances of sportsbooks flagging your account. #### [](#adapting-to-sportsbook-policies) Adapting to Sportsbook Policies \- Stay Informed: Each sportsbook has its own set of rules and thresholds for limiting accounts. Familiarize yourself with these policies and adjust your betting strategy accordingly. The more informed you are about the sportsbooks you use, the better you can navigate their limitations. #### [](#using-custom-book-display-odds) Using Custom Book Display Odds \- Lose on limiting books: Take advantage of the display odds feature in the wallet by setting books that tend to limit to **\+ Odds**. Bets placed on books with positive odds are more likely to lose, extending the life of the book. The ultimate aim of these strategies is to enjoy the benefits of arbitrage betting with AVO while minimizing the risk of being limited by sportsbooks. By being strategic about where, how, and when you place your bets, you can sustain a profitable arbitrage betting practice over the long term.
