From aqua home page, you can get much easier access to all aqua offerings, partners and products. You can also find documentation or contact our customer support from there. Public and private cloud users always have access to this page by default. For on premise customers, it has also shown by default. But there is an option to configure it and enable your internal resources instead of aqua home page. To enable your internal resources, the Server/System Administrator needs to modify the following keys in the aquaWebNG.config to: * AQUA\_HOME\_NEWSPAGE\_URL: [https://customer-internal.example/](https://customer-internal.example/) _(your internal URL)_ * AQUA\_HOME\_NEWSPAGE\_IS\_WEBPAGE: true 💻 aqua home page ![](https://docs.aqua-cloud.io/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F3920520305-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252FyZbW8vbNs5hz8x57emJJ%252Fuploads%252FwwfBie8sIPrIDSljhg4b%252Fimage.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3D0acf52e1-6c34-4969-8a31-6439bfc99bfd&width=768&dpr=4&quality=100&sign=541b4318&sv=2) --- # App language | Documentation - aqua cloud * * * [PreviousHome page](/documentation/web-client/general/home-page) [NextUser account](/documentation/web-client/general/user-account) Last updated 6 months ago Was this helpful? A user account can be managed either by a server/system administrator or a user with enough permissions. A user account can be **added**, **deactivated** or **deleted**. When a server/system administrator adds a new user to aqua, he needs to fill out the form. Once the form is saved, the invited user will receive the welcome email with credentials to login to aqua. The server/system admin needs to make sure that a license [is assigned](/documentation/user-administration/assigning-licenses-projects-and-roles) to an invited user, otherwise newly added user won't be able to login to aqua. aqua team recommends to change a password as soon as a user logins for the 1st time. Here is [the article](/documentation/web-client/general/change-password) on how it can be done. Any number of users can be addded to the app with the same email, but a username should be always unique. Due to regulatory compliance, some companies might be subject to specific legal or regulatory requirements regarding data retention and deletion. By handling deletion requests through a formal process, companies who use aqua can adhere to these guidelines more effectively. Hence, the users without enough permissions can't delete their accounts and need to request a deletion or deactivation of the account from their server/system administrator. To enhance personalization and creates a sense of identity and makу collaboration easier and effective, we recommend to upload an avatar or a picture. Users can upload or update their avatar either from the user administration page or from the sidebar panel from the aqua app directly. 💻 Add new user form Adding avatar ![](https://docs.aqua-cloud.io/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F3920520305-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252FyZbW8vbNs5hz8x57emJJ%252Fuploads%252F6CZVQPYo9JC3OdTCV5mc%252Fimage.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3D896d0207-e49f-45e5-bfd2-5322e5ffad34&width=768&dpr=4&quality=100&sign=8333f947&sv=2) ![](https://docs.aqua-cloud.io/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F3920520305-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252FyZbW8vbNs5hz8x57emJJ%252Fuploads%252F6kvRYKvBEXpigXXg7KRE%252Fimage.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3D8d6c3f5b-2a47-49ea-bfbf-7d4aab9252a4&width=768&dpr=4&quality=100&sign=12151232&sv=2) ![](https://docs.aqua-cloud.io/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F3920520305-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252FyZbW8vbNs5hz8x57emJJ%252Fuploads%252FHVWB18AEyYmtpjbXS9JY%252FBuilt-in%2520Retina%2520Display.gif%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3Da9190b6e-5664-4f9a-ba4a-02707fe335da&width=768&dpr=4&quality=100&sign=886eb46e&sv=2) --- # How to Contact Our Support | Documentation - aqua cloud * * * [](#contacting-aqua-cloud-support) Contacting aqua cloud Support --------------------------------------------------------------------- At aqua cloud, we are dedicated to providing timely and efficient support to ensure the best experience with our platform. When a user signs up or invited to a solution, aqua generates a password that you can use to do a first login. However, we recommend to change it as soon as you get into the application in order to secure your account. To change your password, click on the user avatar first and when the sidebar appears, click on the 'Change password' button. Set a new password and click the 'Change password' button. Starting from the next login, use a new password to get access to aqua. In case, you forgot your password and can't login to aqua, click the 'Reset password' button. You will be navigated to the reset password page. Users who are on a public cloud, need to provide email and a tenant name. Tenant name is a special key that is added to your username after @ when you login to aqua. e.g. kate@_tenantname_ In most cases, tenant name is incorporated from your company name or domain used in your email when you signed up. Private cloud and on-premise customers can reset a password by providing an email only. In aqua, server/system administrators or users with the permissions, can reset the passwords for other users. When a server/system adminisntrator resets a password, a user receives an email with new login credentials. In all cases when the password has been reset, we recommend to a user who logs in, to change it to a new one as it was done on the first login. 💻 Change password Reset password form Reset password ![](https://docs.aqua-cloud.io/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F3920520305-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252FyZbW8vbNs5hz8x57emJJ%252Fuploads%252FAwUPHhCZGMvc1WKrPHNk%252Fimage.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3D74831e88-ef5b-416b-af6b-e933e00cad3d&width=768&dpr=4&quality=100&sign=cf57a353&sv=2) ![](https://docs.aqua-cloud.io/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F3920520305-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252FyZbW8vbNs5hz8x57emJJ%252Fuploads%252Ft1H4zpyjk1FiIPeam49a%252Fimage.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3De2222a84-265e-4d7e-9aee-f44d87feaef0&width=768&dpr=4&quality=100&sign=c953f55f&sv=2) ![](https://docs.aqua-cloud.io/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F3920520305-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252FyZbW8vbNs5hz8x57emJJ%252Fuploads%252Fn9AoWNbRO2wWuc2csiNc%252Fimage.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3De33a2259-9f1c-464d-b78a-67b47b1af43c&width=768&dpr=4&quality=100&sign=7ec6370e&sv=2) ![](https://docs.aqua-cloud.io/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F3920520305-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252FyZbW8vbNs5hz8x57emJJ%252Fuploads%252FSiqxuBT8CY91nXsVvPmZ%252Fimage.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3D6ca9ac41-5e23-4c09-996d-f5ea6f86c9e7&width=768&dpr=4&quality=100&sign=4ed03b54&sv=2) ![](https://docs.aqua-cloud.io/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F3920520305-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252FyZbW8vbNs5hz8x57emJJ%252Fuploads%252FQpE2A215UqlP3ubCVO2D%252Fimage.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3Da099203c-8b05-4fcf-bb9f-14a43a6c6532&width=768&dpr=4&quality=100&sign=fd756f3c&sv=2) ![](https://docs.aqua-cloud.io/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F3920520305-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252FyZbW8vbNs5hz8x57emJJ%252Fuploads%252FcEY5FBu15tlzYO8Pdwde%252Fimage.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3D39167d15-48a3-44c5-a239-17c4e3fe3657&width=768&dpr=4&quality=100&sign=a6a3f9b3&sv=2) --- # Shortcuts & Accessibility | Documentation - aqua cloud * * * [PreviousChange password](/documentation/web-client/general/change-password) [NextHow to Contact Our Support](/documentation/web-client/how-to-contact-our-support) Last updated 6 months ago Was this helpful? ### [](#keyboard_shortcuts) **Keyboard Shortcuts** For several important functions, you can simply use keyboard shortcuts, such as 'Ctrl+S' to save or ESC to close a dialogue without using the mouse. You can select them directly using the up/down arrow keys, or simply type their names. An auto-complete feature makes this easy. You can also type the ID of an item, such as TC001234, and then press Enter to open that item directly. ### [](#accessibility_according_to_bitv_2_0) **Accessibility according to BITV 2.0** It is our objective to make aqua as accessible as possible for all users. An important guideline for this is the Barrierefreie-Informationstechnik-Verordnung (in english Barrier-Free Information Technology Regulation), or BITV for short. aqua is being developed and refined in accordance with the BITV 2.0 criteria, i.e. attention is paid to the clarity of the masks, colours and contrasts are optimised for better recognition and many other details have already been implemented for a better accessibility. One very important accessibility criterion is the ability to use an application with a keyboard. For this purpose, the tab and arrow keys can be used to navigate through the aqua interface. To make this as efficient as possible for people who are completely keyboard dependent, additional areas have been defined that can be accessed directly without having to navigate through them. You can quickly switch between these different areas using the `F4 key`, and then use the `Tab key` to move to different positions within that area. There are also a few more keyboard shortcuts, as described above, as well as a command line for quick navigation and editing using the keyboard. 💻 ![](https://docs.aqua-cloud.io/~gitbook/image?url=https%3A%2F%2F3920520305-files.gitbook.io%2F%7E%2Ffiles%2Fv0%2Fb%2Fgitbook-x-prod.appspot.com%2Fo%2Fspaces%252FyZbW8vbNs5hz8x57emJJ%252Fuploads%252Ftkcq1LRSe4P5eQhZmNbZ%252Fimage.png%3Falt%3Dmedia%26token%3Da7da5628-b582-4470-957c-f4076532a9ed&width=768&dpr=4&quality=100&sign=6b4e3e2&sv=2) ![](https://docs.aqua-cloud.io/~gitbook/image?url=http%3A%2F%2Faquawiki.andagon.com%2Fpictures%2Fdrex_shortcuts___accessibility_custom.png&width=768&dpr=4&quality=100&sign=507eaa83&sv=2) --- # Administration | Documentation - aqua cloud [PreviousHow to Contact Our Support](/documentation/web-client/how-to-contact-our-support) [NextUser administration](/documentation/user-administration) Was this helpful? * * * --- # Adding and managing users | Documentation - aqua cloud * * * [PreviousUser administration](/documentation/user-administration) [NextRoles and permissions](/documentation/user-administration/roles-and-permissions) Last updated 1 year ago Was this helpful? In this chapter, we will explore the process of adding and managing users within aqua. First to navigate in the user administration area please select under hamburger menu the appropriate section called 'User administration'. [](#adding-users) Adding users ----------------------------------- To add a new user, simply click the "Add User" button located in the top-right corner of the window. A user dialogue will appear, enabling you to input the necessary user details. Once a new user has been successfully created, they will promptly receive an email containing a link to aqua and their login credentials, which include their username and password. Please note that for the user's username, certain special characters commonly found on standard keyboards are not allowed. These restricted characters include: @, ", /, =, ?, \[, \], , +, \*, :, ;, >, <, and |. Please be sure that you have fulfiled the email and the user name fields before saving the form. [](#edit-user-account) Edit user account --------------------------------------------- To edit a user, select the user from the list of users on the left and change the fields as required. In addition to the username, first name, last name, and email address, you can enter a job title and phone number, and add a picture. If you are a server administrator, you can use the Server Administrator checkbox to give the user more rights. With the Server Administrator permission, the user has access to all projects and can assign himself and other users to all projects. They can also configure, add or delete roles and have access to the global system log. [](#password-reset) Password reset --------------------------------------- Reset Password allows you to send an email with a new password to a user who has forgotten their password. To trigger the email, select the 3 dots icon and then press 'Reset Password'. [](#deactivate-or-delete-user) Deactivate or delete user ------------------------------------------------------------- Deactivate User allows you to deactivate the selected user so that he/she cannot log in to aqua. The user will then be highlighted with a blocking sign on the User List. You can reactivate the user at any time. When the licence assigned to the user expires, the user is automatically deactivated and the licence is crossed out. When the licences are renewed and the user logs in again, one of the current licences is automatically assigned to the user and the user is reactivated (if there are enough licences of that type). Otherwise, you can manually assign a licence to the user. Delete User completely deletes the selected user and cannot be restored. The user information will also be removed from all fields in all items where it was stored (e.g. Created By, Assigned To, Tested By, etc.) in accordance with the GDPR.
