Just as with the buy order, Whales Pre-markets' smart contracts **allow sellers to close their orders before they are completely filled,** enabling the **reclamation of any remaining unfilled collateral**.

This means you can **close your sell order at any time**, stopping any further fills by buyers, and retrieve the funds you deposited as collateral.

In the **My Open Orders** section, click **Close**.

For example: If you are selling 10,000 $SKATE at $0.005 per token and only 5,000 is filled, you can close order and claim back $25 remaining.

**Step 1: Connect Your Wallet**

*   Use the wallet you originally used to create the order or fill the order.
    
*   Ensure the wallet has the required tokens ready for transfer
    

**Step 2: Select Orders in Dashboard**

*   Go to your **Dashboard**.

*   Approve the **smart contract request** in your connected wallet. This confirms the on-chain transfer to the buyer.

The easiest way to sell token allocations is to find a buy order listed by another user.

Find an offer with **a suitable price** and **deposit collateral as a guarantee** that you will **deliver your token allocation to the buyers**.

Your deposited collateral will be **secured in a smart contract**, and you **can only reclaim it once you** `**SETTLE**` **your order**, which means after **the tokens are successfully delivered to the buyers**.

3.  Easy route to deliver If the token originated elsewhere, there’s a supported, healthy bridge/route to the Agreed Chain with normal fees and confirmations (no special setup, no custom SMC needed).

*   Extension window: up to 48 hours if chain/bridge/network incident persists.

*   Extension window: Up to 48 hours to allow SMC deployment and route settlement.
    
*   If a safe route remains unsupported, see Section 3.3.

3\. Risk Disclosures

In the event Whales Market cancels a pre-market trade, users are expected to understand and accept the associated risks and obligations.

3.1 Buyer risks

**Case #1: Pre-market works perfectly without any issue at settlement**

If the TGE price is way too high than the token price you bought, a seller may default the order, and thus give up collateral to the buyer.

Example:

*   Pre-market fill for Token A at $0.50.
    
*   TGE prints around $1.50.
    
*   Seller Defaults to capture the higher profits.
    
*   Buyer receives their collateral plus the Seller’s collateral; no tokens are delivered.
    

Important Notes: If the settlement time is passed, the buyer has the right to cancel the order. If the buyers don’t cancel, the seller still has the right to settle tokens at any time until the order is either settled or cancelled.

**Case #2: If Pre-Market is cancelled**

The buyer will receive their collateral back.

3.3 Resell Buyer

**Case #1: Pre-market works perfectly without any issue at settlement**

*   Resell buyers are a riskier party than others in a pre-market.
    
*   Once you buy a resell order, you will inherit the original buyer’s collateral and obligations.
    
*   If you buy a resell order at a high price (e.g 80% more than the original price) and TGE price is higher than the resell price, The seller has an option to default the order and thus the buyer might not get any profits from the trade
    

**Case #2: If Pre-Market is cancelled**

The buyer will incur a loss in this situation.

For example:

*   user A sells 1,000 tokens A for $0.5 per token => $500 collateral locked in contract
    
*   Original buyer B buys 1,000 tokens at $0.5 per token A => $500 collateral locked in contract.
    
*   user C buys a 1,000 tokens resell order at $0.9 per token A => Original Buyer B **receives $900 instantly.**
    
*   If pre-market is cancelled, user A receives $500 collateral back and user C ONLY receives the original buyer B’s $500 collateral => User C **incurs a loss of $400.**

With the new Resell Position feature, buyers can now resell **their position of BUY ORDERS** to **Take Profit/**S**top loss** in the scenario where market condition shifts, even after the orders got filled.

In the first phase, the Resell Position mechanism will only apply to **buy orders**. Sell-side exits will be supported in future updates.

1\. Resell Position Mechanism

Whales Market allows Buyers to exit their pre-market positions by reselling them before the token generation event (TGE), enabling greater flexibility and liquidity.

1.  **Initial Trade**
    

The original seller creates a pre-market order to sell tokens. A buyer fills the order, and both parties lock collateral equal to the trade value to secure the agreement until the settlement date.

1.  **Resell Opportunity**
    

Before the TGE, if the buyer decides to resell the position - due to market shifts or strategy changes - they can list the position for resale on Whales Market.

To safeguard buyer interests, orders cannot exceed a 80% increase from their original price

1.  **Position Transfer & Collateral Flow**
    

When a new buyer accepts the resale order:

*   The new buyer pays the resale amount directly to the original buyer.
    
*   The original buyer's locked collateral is transferred to the new buyer as security for settlement.
    
*   The original buyer exits the position with their capital returned and any realized profit from the resale.
    

Note: Once you buy a resell order, your funds are transferred directly to the creator of that resell order.

In some exceptional cases, although very rare, if a third-party project does not create a liquidity pool for the token on the blockchain that we have listed, we may have to cancel trading of that token. In such cases, the buyer of the resell order will have to accept a loss and will only receive back the collateral from the original buyer.

1.  **Settlement Enforcement**
    

On the settlement date, the Seller must deliver the agreed tokens to the Secondary Buyer (the holder of the position at the time of settlement). If the original seller does not settle, the current buyer will receive the collateral from both the original seller and the original buyer.

Additionally, Pre-markets' smart contracts **enable order creators to close their orders before they are fully filled**, allowing them to **reclaim any remaining unfilled deposits.**

This means you can **close your order at any time**, **preventing any further fills by sellers**, and **retrieve your funds** deposited for purchasing tokens.

In the **My Open Orders** section, click **Close**.

The fastest way to buy allocations is to fill an order that another user has listed.

Find an order with **a price that you want to buy** and **make a deposit**.

Your deposited funds will be sent to and stored in an escrow secured by **an immutable smart contract,** and will **only be transferred to the seller** when they `**SETTLE**` the order, meaning when the purchased tokens are successfully delivered to you.

**Following these steps:**

1.  Go to the Pre-Market Home Page, browse the available listings, and select the token you want to trade.

Once buying the listed order, users have to fill at least 5% amount. For example, to complete the order of 15,000 $XPL, the buyer has to fill a minimum of 750 token.

1.  Confirm the collateral deposit and sign the transaction in your wallet.

If the seller ghosts you – meaning **they do not settle your order** or send the token allocation you purchased – you have the option to claim your and the seller collateral as a compensation amount.

The compensation amount will be **equal to the funds you deposited** to buy the token allocation, **taken from the seller's deposited collateral**.

Please note, you **can only claim your collateral** if the seller is fails to deliver tokens after the settlement time ends.

You can only cancel an order if the seller is OVERDUE on settlement. This means you can cancel after the settlement deadline has passed and the seller has still not sent you the tokens you purchased.

**Resell Position** is a feature on Whales Market that allows you to exit your pre-market position and either take profit or cut losses before the Token Generation Event (TGE). Here’s a quick guide on how to use it.

In the first phase, the resell position mechanism will only apply to **Buy orders**. Sell-side exits will be supported in future updates.

1.  To resell a position, go to the Dashboard or Trading Terminal of the token you purchased, then click **Resell** on your filled buy order.

3\. Resell Position risk

When you buy a Resell Position, the system evaluates the previous buyer profit to determine its risk level.

**There are 3 possible risk levels:**

*   **Low-Risk (Prev Buyer Profit < 50%)**
    

No warning message will appear. You can purchase the position as usual.

*   **Medium-Risk (Prev Buyer Profit ≥ 50% and < 75%)**
    

A Medium-Risk warning will be displayed. The position carries a moderate level of risk, so consider carefully before buying.

When **closing an order you created**, whether it's an order to buy or sell, you will incur 0.5% fee.

2\. Settle an order

When **settling buy token order**, you are required to pay a platform fee.

This fee is **charged only on your settlement amount.**

The smart contract **automatically deducts this fee** when you settle the buy order, enabling you to claim your collateral and the settlement amount.

**4\. Cancel an order**

When **cancelling a buy token order** because the seller failed to deliver (ghosting), fees apply to both parties:

*   2.5% fee is charged from the buyer’s deposit.
    
*   2.5% fee is charged from the seller’s collateral.
    

The smart contract **automatically deducts this fee** when you cancel the buy order, allowing you to claim both your initial deposit and the compensation.

*   The staking contract holds both `$WHALES` and `$xWHALES`.
    
*   When you stake `$WHALES`, you receive `$xWHALES`. Holding `$xWHALES` increases your share of protocol-generated rewards over time.
    
*   This gradual payout prevents large one-time selling (dumping) that could destabilize token value.

*   Rewards are paid in `$WHALES` but purchased on the open market, which means staking doesn’t inflate supply. `$WHALES` token distribution from incentive emissions follows a separate 4-year vesting schedule.

Important Notes: Joining a Team is permanent. You can’t switch teams. Leaders can’t delete teams (Admins can only disable them).

2\. How smart contracts work

Smart contracts are the backbone of **Whales Market OTC (Over-the-Counter) trading**, ensuring fairness for both buyers and sellers:
