No. PolyGun does not support external deposits of market shares. All trades are executed directly through Polymarket via the bot.

First, tap **Refresh** in the bot. If the balance still doesn’t update after a few minutes, confirm the transfer was sent to your PolyGun wallet address and that the transaction is confirmed on-chain.

PolyGun applies a **1% fee per executed trade**, in addition to Polymarket’s standard fees.

Yes. PolyGun supports both **Market** and **Limit** orders for buying and selling positions.

This depends on your **Trading Mode**:

*   **Cautious**: Every order requires confirmation
    
*   **Standard**: Orders above your set threshold require confirmation
    
*   **Expert**: Orders execute instantly with no confirmation
    

The default is **Standard**, but this can be adjusted anytime in the bot settings.

The threshold is the dollar amount where PolyGun asks for confirmation in **Standard Mode**. The default is **$100**, but this can be adjusted anytime in the bot settings.

Common reasons include:

*   Insufficient balance
    
*   Price moved beyond acceptable range
    
*   Market liquidity changed

Refreshing and retrying usually resolves it.

PnL is calculated based on:

*   Average entry price
    
*   Current market price
    
*   Fees incurred
    

PnL updates when you refresh or after trades complete.

Check your **Closed** positions filter. Settled or sold positions are moved out of Open Positions automatically.

Yes. You can export your private key from **Settings → Wallet Security**.

PolyGun creates a safe wallet for you, but you retain full control. Funds are not custodied by PolyGun.

How to Sell

Selling positions on PolyGun is handled directly from your Portfolio. You can close positions instantly at market price or place limit sells at your preferred exit price.

1\. Open Your Position

To start selling:

*   Open **Portfolio** from the main menu
    
*   Select the market position you want to sell
    

Each position shows your size, average price, current price, and PnL.

2\. Choose Your Sell Type

Select how you want to exit the position:

*   **Sell** Executes a **Market Sell** at the best available price.
    
*   **Limit Sell** Places a **Limit Order** at your chosen price and waits for execution.

3\. Select Amount

Choose how many shares to sell:

*   Use percentage buttons like **25%, 50%, 75%, or 100%**
    
*   Or enter a **custom share amount** manually
    

You’ll see the estimated value before confirming.

4\. Confirm or Auto-Execute

Your **Trading Mode** determines the behavior:

*   **Cautious** – Always asks for confirmation
    
*   **Standard** – Confirms only above your threshold
    
*   **Expert** – Executes instantly with no confirmation
    

Orders that meet your settings will fire immediately.

5\. Transaction Updates

Once submitted, PolyGun will show:

*   When the sell order is submitted
    
*   When it completes
    
*   Shares sold

*   Amount received
    
*   Profit or loss
    
*   Transaction hash with a Polygonscan link
    

Your Portfolio updates automatically after completion.

How to Buy

Buying positions on PolyGun is designed to be fast and straightforward. You can enter trades directly from market lists or jump straight in using a Polymarket link.

1\. Open a Market

You can access a market in two ways:

*   Browse using **Search Markets** inside the bot
    
*   Paste a **Polymarket link** directly into the chat
    

Once opened, the market screen shows current prices, liquidity, volume, and available buy options.

2\. Choose Your Buy Type

Select how you want to enter the trade:

PolyGun gives you three sizing modes so you can match different trading styles and risk preferences.

Best for:

*   Strict budget control
    
*   Predictable exposure
    
*   Beginners who want simple sizing

You copy a percentage of the trader’s position size.

**How it works:** Your trade size is proportional to the trader’s.

*   Following aggressive or conservative strategies
    
*   Keeping proportional exposure

You copy trades based on portfolio size instead of trade size.

**How it works:** If the trader uses a certain percentage of their portfolio, you use the same percentage of yours.

**Example:** If the trader uses **10% of their portfolio**, you also use **10% of your portfolio**, regardless of account size.

Best for:

*   Long-term copy trading
    
*   Risk-balanced setups
    
*   Matching the trader’s portfolio strategy

🎯 What this step does

A nickname is just a friendly name for the trader’s wallet you added in [Step 1.](https://polygun.gitbook.io/polygun-docs/telegram-bot-user-guide/copy-trading/traders-wallet-address)
 It doesn’t affect trading behavior, but it makes your copy trading setup easier to manage and understand.

Instead of seeing a long wallet address, you’ll see something like:

*   “Smart Whale”
    
*   “Alpha Caller”
    
*   “NFL Specialist”
    
*   “High Risk Trader”
    

Much cleaner. Much easier on the brain.

After submitting a withdrawal, you can:

*   View the transaction hash directly inside the bot

Most withdrawals complete quickly. Delays are usually caused by network congestion.

Slippage tolerance defines the maximum difference between the price you expect and the price your trade is actually filled at.

Markets can move fast. If the price shifts too much:

*   With low tolerance, the trade is skipped
    
*   With higher tolerance, the trade still goes through
    

This setting balances execution success vs price protection.

# Managing your Portfolio | Polygun Docs

Viewing your portfolio

To view your positions:

*   Click **Portfolio** from the main menu.
    
*   Browse **Full**, **Open**, or **Closed** positions using the filters at the bottom.
    
*   Navigate between pages using **Prev** and **Next** if you have multiple positions.
    

Each position displays key details, including:

*   **Position size** and shares held
    
*   **Avg / Now price**
    
*   **Cost / Value**
    
*   **PnL** (profit or loss)
    
*   **Status** (Open or Closed)
    

At the bottom of the portfolio, you’ll also see:

*   **Total Volume —** Total notional across all tracked markets
    
*   **Total PnL** — Combined profit and loss across your portfolio
    

Use **Refresh** to update all values in real time.

Once you confirm, copy trading becomes active using these exact rules.

The price range acts as a filter. PolyGun will only copy trades if the market price falls within your chosen range.

If the trader enters a trade outside this range, **PolyGun will skip it for your account.**

This helps you avoid:

*   Buying too high
    
*   Entering late during price spikes
    
*   Getting bad fills in fast markets

# Max Copy $ Amount per Trade | Polygun Docs

**This limits the maximum amount of USDC** that can be used for any individual copied position, no matter how large the trader’s original trade is.

**Even if:**

*   Your sizing mode says to buy more
    
*   The trader opens a huge position
    

PolyGun will never exceed this amount for one market. Think of it as your emergency brake.

Then your configuration:

**Mode & Trade Size**

*   **Mode:** Fixed, Percentage, or Portfolio-Weighted
    
*   **Trade Size:** How much is used per copied trade
    

**Limits**

*   **Slippage:** Your execution tolerance
    
*   **Price Range:** Allowed entry prices
    
*   **Single Market:** Max amount per trade

1.  Open **Copy Trade** from the Home menu
    
2.  Select the trader you want to manage
    
3.  Tap **Manage**
    
4.  Choose the setting you want to change
    
5.  Update the value
    
6.  Confirm the change
    

All updates apply to future copied trades immediately.

Newly created copy trades start in **Muted** mode. This means you won’t receive notifications when trades are copied unless you turn them on manually.

If you want alerts for every copied trade:

1.  Go to **Home → Copy Trade**
    
2.  Select your trader
    
3.  Tap **Manage**
    
4.  On the Copytrade Details screen, tap **Unmute**
    

Once unmuted, you’ll start receiving notifications whenever:

*   A trade is copied
    
*   A position is opened
    
*   Execution happens
    

This is great if you want full visibility and real-time feedback on what your copy trade is doing.
